"A date?" I raised a brow. "I'm sorry, Mr. King, but I don't have time for those. I have a line to tend to these days. I do not have time for dates. So, I am going to politely decline your proposal." I smiled, then tried to walk away.
"Please?" He held my arm. "Yana would love if you would come."
"Yana?" I raised a brow. "Ayana? Why would she want me there?"
"She's the one who's having her birthday." He admitted. "She has been asking me about you and she misses you. So much."
"I'm sorry, Mr. King. I have to decline." Once again, I tried to walk away.
"I lied to her." He suddenly said. "She would always nag me to when would she see you again. So, I lied to her. She thinks that we're still seeing each other and she also thinks that you're just busy with work."
"I can't go," My voice was low and stern. "Excuse me, Mr. King, but I have work to do." With that I walked away.
"What? That asshole thinks that I'm just going to go on a freaking date with him? After all these times? After what he did? The audacity of this man." I muttered, looking at the sketch for my line aggressively.
"Ms. De Laurel." A knock was suddenly placed on the door.
"What?!" I looked at the door as if it did something to me.
"Your father is outside the building. He is waiting for you. He said that he wants to see you immediately." Allie's voice was muffled through the door.
"Okay," I took my stuff and left my office. "Alliana?" I went to her desk.
"Yes, Ms. Olivia?" She stopped her typing in the keyboard and looked at me.
"Clear my schedule for today, please." I requested. "My 3, move it in two days, my four, move it tomorrow, and my five, move it in three days. Tell Jeremiah that he doesn't need to pick me up. Tell Soraya that I will meet her tomorrow regarding the line, contact Delilah about the next shipment, and, tell Olen and Oliver that they both should go to our old house."
"Is that all, madame?" She asked after a moment of typing.
"Yes," I nodded. "That would be all." And with that, I walked away.
I went outside the house to see my father waiting for me. He still had baggage with him which made me chuckle internally.
"Papa!" I went in for a hug. "I missed you. Did mama come?" I asked after the hug.
"Yes," He nodded. "She's already in our old house. She was already tired. You know her, a little movement can already make her tired." He chuckled. "Let's go?"
"Let's go," I affirmed.
We then drove off to our old house. God, it brings so much memories. I saw Olen's car which I presume was their ride.
"Baby! I missed you so much! Why don't you come visit us anymore? Don't you love us?" My mom gave me a bone crushing hug as entered the house.
"I do mama," I chuckled. "I just don't have time to visit you guys anymore. I'm busy with work." I pouted.
"Aish!" She shook her head, giving me a small smack in my shoulder. "No one is too busy for their parents! Now go help your brothers with that food." This time, the smack was in my but.
"Yes, mama." I looked down, removing my hair from it's high ponytail. I also removed my coat and shoes since I didn't want to get in trouble for bringing them in.
