Kenma stared at Taichi while they waited for a response from him, expecting to be rejected immediately.
Taichi spoke up, "So... you do like me..."
Kenma remained silent, scared to say anything.
Taichi sighed and looked over at Kenma, "I'll take that as a yes.."
Kenma looked down feeling his anxiety begin to rise slightly, "I mean, at least you finally figured it out."
"Yeah," Taichi looked down at the ground, "now that I think about it you made it really obvious. I'm kinda dissappointed in myself for not realizing sooner."
Kenma chuckled, "You really are an idiot."
Taichi looked back over at Kenma and smiled, "But you still like me."
Kenma looked away, face red, "Just shut up and reject me already so I can try and move on."
Taichi stayed silent for a few seconds debating on what to say. He still wasn't sure if he liked Kenma back, but he can admit that the thought of kissing Kenma and cuddling with Kenma sounded nice.
His eyes widened as he realized it. Holy shit I like them back.
Kenma was playing with the strings of their hoodie, waiting for a response from Taichi.
Taichi smiled as he looked back over at Kenma, "Look at me," he said, attempting to get Kenma's attention.
Kenma shook their head and kept their gaze on the floor, not wanting to look at Taichi, scared of rejection.
Taichi sighed and wrapped an arm around Kenma's shoulders, "Well, if I told you that I like you back, how would you respond?"
Kenma's eyes widened and they moved away from Taichi's arm, "I wouldn't believe you. Just days ago you were obsessed with Shira, it's impossible for someone to move on that fast I-"
Taichi cut Kenma off by putting his hand on Kenma's shoulder, "You moved on from Kuroo fast."
Kenma looked down, trying to think of another excuse on why Taichi wouldn't like him, "W-well, you uh... I'm... I just...." they couldn't think of any other excuses, but they still didn't believe him.
Taichi sighed and put one of his hands on Kenma's cheek, "Do... do I have permission to kiss you?"
Kenma's eyes widened, and after a few seconds, they nodded.
Taichi smiled and then brought his lips to Kenma's. The kiss was short, yet sweet. After a few seconds, the two pulled away and then stared into each other's eyes.
"So uh.. do you believe me now?" Taichi asks, starting to get a little flustered.
Kenma smiled slightly, "Yeah..."
Taichi smiled back at them, "So uhm... would uh... does this... does this mean we're dating now or..?"
Kenma thought for a second, "Do you promise that you won't just randomly kiss Shirabu again?"
Taichi laughed, "Yeah, don't worry... I won't."
Kenma smiled at him, "Alright... then we're dating now..."
The two smiled at each other, happy about their new relationship.
