The next morning, I made myself roll out of my bed before getting around hurriedly. Apparently my alarm decided he didn't want to work this morning. "Bastard." I mumbled when noticing Tony's door open. It was closed last night, so he must've came back. He must've also thought it'd be funny to not wake me up in time for class.
I felt awfully disgusting and all I wanted to do was shower. Sadly though, I had no time. I grabbed a granola bar before fleeing the apartment, running as fast as I could down the sidewalks until I was on campus. I've managed to memorize all the buildings my classes are in, so it took me a short amount of time before I walked into the class potentially five seconds before the bell rung. My eyes scanned the room.
I was planning on seeing Vic sitting beside my spot, but that's not what it looked like. I caught Vic's gaze before looking at my occupied seat. Of course Danielle would take my spot.
"Sorry." I saw Vic mumble once I noted there was no vacant spots beside each other. I shrugged before scowling at Danielle. I trudged to a single set desk and pulled out my sketchpad, desperate to let the class just end. It was no fun if Vic wasn't by me.
"Kellin." I heard my name about fifteen minutes later or so. I looked up, meeting the gaze of not only the teacher, but all the students. I blushed at Vic's smirk. "Care to explain what you're doing?"
"I'm u-uh.... Sketching." I replied softly.
"Put it away and pay attention." Mrs. Treveno said sternly before continuing to teach class. My eyes glanced over at Vic who was already looking at me. That stupid smirk was still stuck on his face.
"Stop." I mumbled. Vic shook his head at me before biting his lip and turning to face the board again. I rolled my eyes, looking back as well. This was boring. There was no fun in sitting and listening to her talk, so I pulled out my sketchpad again, being extra careful this time. Continuously, I'd glance up to make sure Mrs. Treveno wasn't looking, which she wasn't. My phone buzzed, scaring me. I covered my phone with my hands hastily, desperate to mute the vibrations. Nobody noticed, so I let go of my breath before reading the text.
"You're going to get caught." I read off of my screen before glancing over at Vic.
"Who cares?" I typed back, letting my guard down for one second. Mrs. Treveno cleared her throat. Slowly, I trailed my eyes from her shoes up to the stern look on her face.
"Hi." I said awkwardly, making a few kids chuckle.
"Out." She said calmly, but I could tell she was holding back from yelling at me. I sighed and nodded, packing my bag before Vic caught my gaze again. He seemed conflicted, so once again I shrugged and headed towards the door. Suddenly there was a loud screech on the floor. I watched as Vic drug his chair across the floor towards the front, placing it right in front of Mrs. Treveno's desk. Everyone unplugged their ears because the sound was gone.
"Vic? What are you doing?" Mrs. Treveno asked. A cheeky smile was plastered on my lips as he started to pick up pencils from her desk and twirl them between his fingers.
"Just wanted to get a better view." Vic replied casually, placing his feet on the edge of her desk. Mrs. Treveno gave him a stern look before she pushed his feet off the desk lightly. I leaned against the wall, no longer caring if she saw me still in here or not.
"Go back to your seat, now class as I was saying-"
"Do you want to dance?" Vic interrupted, pulling out his phone before blasting music through the room. Everyone including myself laughed as he grabbed Mrs. Treveno hand and twirled her around. She pulled away a few times, but Vic was very persistent with her. I watched as he dipped her down before pulling her back up.
"Stop." She yelled angrily at him. Vic frowned before turning off the music.
"What's wrong?"
"Out." Mrs. Treveno seethed, and it was actually a little intimidating to see her so pissed. I slipped out the door and waited in the corridor before Vic came out, giving me an innocent smile.
"What the hell was that?" I questioned, slapping his arm.
"Danielle was annoying the fuck out of me and I wanted to be with you." Vic said nonchalantly.
"Since when were you bad?"
"My average in that class is above normal; One suspension won't kill me... But it'll kill you. Listen to her next time." Vic warned before wrapping his arm around me and walking me out of the building. We just walked for awhile because we had another class in an hour. There was no point in returning home.
"You're a good dancer." I complimented in a form of a joke, but it wasn't a lie either.
"I know." Vic said cockily.
"Shouldn't have fed your ego." I mumbled before Vic kissed my cheek. Everyone else was in class it seems. The silence was a little awkward, but I didn't know what to talk about. Vic glanced at me questioningly before pulling me into the middle of the road.
"What-"
"We're dancing." Vic concluded, pressing his body against mine tightly, making me wrap my arms around his neck. I watched cautiously, afraid of cars coming our way. It was silent and deserted, so I relaxed, resting my head on Vic's shoulder. I listened to Vic hum, the vibrations tingling on my skin as he swayed us back and forth. I heard Vic start to sing quietly, just loud enough for me to hear.
"You have a good voice." I complimented in a mumble, my breath hitting his neck.
"Thank you." Vic whispered in my ear, kissing it softly before pulling me back a little and dipping me. At first I was really confused at what was happening, and then I got scared because the weight of my body seemed to leave and I thought I was going to fall. Vic chuckled, pulling me back up into him where I relaxed again. Why does he have to be so damn sweet. "Sorry I scared you."
"You're forgiven." I whispered again before I heard a car horn. My eyes shot open as I saw a car in front of me, an impatient and annoyed driver behind the steering wheel. I blushed, pulling Vic towards the curb so the car could pass. "Sorry!" I yelled to the driver who said nothing in return. Vic smirked before we continued to walk around in talk. The hour went by fairly fast.
"Well we better get going." Vic mumbled.
"Yep, I'll talk to you later, bye." I replied, kissing Vic for a little longer than intended, but it wasn't bad. I savored his lips before Vic pulled away and shook his head with a chuckle. I watched him hurry off in the opposite direction I needed to go before I left as well.
The next few classes were inadequate, mostly because I was buried deep in my thoughts and didn't really want to pay any attention. First period was fun, and I just wanted to relive it over and over again. It was like day dreaming except it isn't a dream because it actually happened. Reminiscing, that's the word that I should use to describe it. It's nothing but a memory now; A good one too.
