The blackness faded sometime later. I was asleep, or at least I thought I was. My eyes fluttered open as I saw the sky. I felt grass and weeds poking me. Why was a laying in this field? Hell, why was I here? Slowly, I tried to get up, but the back of my head was throbbing uncontrollably.
"Who are you?" I heard a feminine voice say from beside me. Her words were soft. I bent my head to the side just see who was here in this abandoned field with me. My eyes widened at the sight of her.
Black locks of her hair were braided and tied while the rest of was wavy and long. Her pale skin color was almost an illusion. If she was any paler you'd believe she was almost transparent. Her brown eyes were contorted into confusion and surprise when we made eye contact. My eyes raked her body. The girls clothes were dirty, as she was as well. Her feet were cut up because she had no shoes on.
"A better question would be who are you?" I replied, trying to stand up again. It was a painful process, and the girl made no moves to show she might help me. Eventually, I sat up. Silence filled the small gap between us.
"Well?" She spoke again. It took me a moment to get back on track. I was lost in the ugliness of her beauty. In some ways I thought she was very pretty, in others I did not. She squinted at me when I kept quiet.
"Kellin." I responded eventually. She became even more confused it seemed.
"That is your name?" She questioned, so I nodded. "That's an awful name." I couldn't help but to smile at her. She didn't return the friendly gesture. "I'm Willow." She said after another awkward passing of silence.
"That's an interesting name." I responded quicker this time.
"My grandmother's name was Willow. I never met her." She explained, sitting down cautiously across from me. "Why are you here? Are you from the city?" She questioned me again. The way she spoke was crisp; Like she knew how to pronounce every single word perfectly.
"City? No, I'm from campus. I don't know why I'm here, why are you?"
"I'm here for whatever reason you want me to be." She replied calmly.
"O-Oh u-uh well... Huh?" I was utterly confused.
"You should leave." She suggested, and I was happy to oblige.
"You never answered my question." I stated as I stood up.
"Your question is your answer." She replied swiftly before walking over to the couch. I watched her intently as she brushed the seat and sat down before looking back at me. "Goodbye." She closed out, leaving me with nothing to say. For once in my life; I was speechless.
Slowly, I backed out of the meadow and scrambled out of those woods faster than you say my full name. My head throbbed, but I was too confused and scared to think anything of it. I pulled out my phone when I was back on the campus.
Not even seven minutes had passed.

When I got home after the whole scenario, I was debating on whether I should tell someone or not. It didn't matter in the end; No one was even home. My bedroom door was closed, so I pushed it open before grabbing The Story of Us. I tossed through the pages nervously, not paying any attention to the photos I was seeing breeze by me. I was too busy searching for the afternoon I just experienced.
And then I saw it. In the corner was a photo of a deserted couch, weeds surrounding it. It was the exact same couch I saw Willow sit on. My eyes skimmed the paper. Who was she? Should I be doing this? The book began to talk about a girl, a girl who's name was Willow. She does not have a last name apparently. She used to attend the academy. I need more; This wasn't enough! So much for this book helping. It only focused on me, so not much about here is going to be in there I assume.
