Anticipation ate me alive as I waited for Vic on Friday night. He said we were going on a more normal date this time, which made me laugh a little. The first date was peculiar, but enjoyable at the same time. I loved it, I don't think I'll ever forget it. I think it'll be nice to go do something more... Normal this time I guess. Apparently it isn't a big secret that we're going bowling.
I told Tony I was going out again, and I didn't even need to explain because Tony had that stupid smirk on his facing telling me he knew who was taking me. I rolled my eyes at him before hurrying out the door and down to lobby area where I waited. I saw headlights shine through the windows awhile later, so I went outside and looked around. The lights had gone dim and I didn't know where he was. A car horn went off, startling me, but a smile tugged on my lips as I saw Vic with his headlights on. With a deep breath, I walked over to him and got into the passengers seat.
"Why hello there." He said, amusement dancing in his eyes. "It seems I startled you." I bit down on my lip, chuckling at his fake accent.
"Yeah you did, dip shit." I mumbled. Everything felt more laid back when you could call someone a dip shit. Or anything offensive name to be honest.
"Ouch." Vic remarked before pulling out of the parking spot. I smirked. "That hurt, but guess what's going to wipe that smirk off your face."
"Hmm?" I hummed quietly, looking over at him. Vic glanced at me before looking back at the road.
"When I kick your ass at bowling." I laughed at him before looking out the window. It was pretty late, so all I could see was street lights and stop lights, or anything in the space of Vic's headlights.
We sat in silence as Vic drove us to the bowling alley, pulling into the crowded parking lot. I watched as he parked a little bit away from the building, most likely to avoid more cars. We got out and walked beside one another, Vic opening the door for me. With a smile, walked in before him. I guess Friday nights were pretty busy here. The parking lot was a misconception. Sure it looked packed out there, but in here? Even more.
Vic led me through crowds of people as we made our way to an alley and set up our score boards.
"This is free?" I asked over the loud music. Vic smiled.
"Yeah, it's on campus." I nodded, letting him do whatever he was doing. Next, we rented some shoes before starting our game. Vic was right; He did wipe the smirk right off of my face. I sucked at bowling, and he seemed to be a pro at it.
"Dammit." I mumbled after Vic got a spare, not passing up an opportunity to smirk at me.
"Beat that, lover boy." He mumbled when my turn was up.
"Yeah yeah. And I'm not your lover boy. If anything you're infatuated with me." I teased, going up and grabbing a bowling ball. I haven't bowled since middle school when we went to the local bowling alley and bowled for PE. Obviously, I've forgotten all of my skills by now. Least to say, it wasn't surprising when I let go of the ball, letting it fly backwards. I must've blushed ten shades of red as Vic laughed at me, grabbing the ball and bringing it back to me.
"Try again." He said, continuing to laugh. I shot him a glare, rolling again. This time, the ball rolled properly forward, knocking over a few pins. It wasn't enough for me to get any good points.
I lost the game majorly. Vic dominated me.
"You'll get better, I've been coming here for four years." He said defiantly. I rolled my eyes at him.
"I'm getting a drink." I stated, walking away over to the bar. It's amazing how they don't question your ID's here. I mean, I'm not legally supposed to drink, but nobody's testifying me either. I took a drink of my beer, walking over to a pool table to watch some guys play.
There was a guy around my age it seems standing beside me by the table. He had short brown hair kind of piled on top of his head, but the sides were shaved a little. He had brown eyes and was fairly tall. I probably looked creepy as fuck examining him, but I think he was too zoned in on the game.
"Fuck yeah!" A guy yelled from across the building, causing me to chuckle. The guy I had been previously looking at looked at me this time, smiling slyly.
"Oh hey, am I in your way?" He asked, his voice surprisingly higher than I expected. It was still way deeper than mine though.
"No, you're fine. I'm just watching." I replied with a smile, taking another drink from my bottle. The man extended his hand.
"I'm Brendon." He introduced himself properly, shaking my hand.
"Kellin, nice to meet you." I replied politely. He smiled at me, revealing his straight, white teeth. I knew my teeth were straight and white, but damn this kid has a perfect smile. We chatted awhile as we continued to watch the game when I felt someones hand snake around my waist. I jumped, settling down when I saw it was Vic, though I felt a little uncomfortable with the way he was holding me. I guess second dates really are serious. Brendon looked at Vic, smiling slyly.
"Hello Vic." He said with a hint of enthusiasm in his voice.
"Hey Brendon, didn't graduate it seems?" Vic replied with, confusing me. There was obviously a lot of tension here. Brendon chuckled.
"Funny Fuentes, you know the answer to that." He replied sarcastically before eyeing me again. "I've gotta run, but I'll see you around. Nice meeting you Kellin." He concluded with a smile before eyeing Vic and walking towards the exit doors. Vic let go of me immediately.
"What the hell was that?" I asked curiously. Vic took my hand in his before pulling me back to our table. i set my beer down, noticing Vic must've bought one too.
"Brendon Urie." He said in a mock tone. "Supposedly one of the best students on campus yet he can't fucking graduate. I think he sticks around just to mock student less than him." He spat out.
"He seemed nice..." I replied meekly, looking over at Vic as he took a drink of his beer.
"Oh yeah, he's nice to you it seems."
"Was he mean to you?"
"Not necessarily, but when I got here he was a couple years ahead of me. For some reason he wasn't fond of me. Maybe it was because I was a threat to his reputation as the best, I don't know. All I know is manipulated a few things, but he never really picked on me. Just the way he looked at me made me though. It made me feel like the odd man out." He explained, clutching his fists. I placed my hands over his, opening his fists before squeezing his hands. I gave Vic a small smile.
"Sorry, that's a dick move." Vic nodded in agreement.
After that Vic and I bowled another couple of times, me losing all of them yet again.
"Let's fucking go." I heard a familiar voice yell. It was the same guy who yelled earlier tonight, but this time I saw him. I didn't know exactly who he was, some kid with brown hair and a blonde stripe rubbing through it. He laughed with a few other people, obviously wasted.
"Jack Barakat." Vic said from behind me. I looked over at him. "He doesn't go to school here, him and his group of buddies go to a academy a few towns over. They come here to bowl every Friday though. I don't know them very well, but he's pretty nice. He likes to wasted a lot too." I chuckled, watching Jack as he bowled. He was off by a long shot, the bowling ball falling into the gutter only half way down the lane.
"So who's the others?"
"Alex, Jack, Rian, and Zack." He pointed them all out to me. i nodded.
"Cool." I concluded before tossing my empty bottle in the trash. "Are you tired?"
"A little, but I don't want to leave. I'm having fun." He mumbled, wrapping his arms around me again. It was more affectionate this time, but I still very timid under his gaze and hold. It was a romantic gesture after all, and we were in a very crowded area. People were going to make assumptions. Then again, were they really assumptions? With a sigh, I leaned back on Vic's chest, watching everyone around us. It felt kind of nice I'll admit. It felt less dominate this time. vic was obviously being dominant when he saw Brendon and I talking, and that made me get a tingling feeling in my stomach.
Vic was being dominant over me.
