Nothing in my life the rest of the week was going right. Everything felt all wrong and out of place. Why I don't know, but I just felt lonely. Sure I saw Tony and Mike all the time, and Vic and I went out a couple times, but isolation was still overcoming me. For such a big campus filled with so many people, I felt like I should meet more people.

So I went back to the bowling alley on Friday night with nobody. I thought it'd be a good opportunity to get away from everything and just meet someone new; Someone interesting.

When I arrived, the alley was packed as usual. I noted a few familiar faces before taking a seat at a table by myself. Maybe coming here alone was a bad idea.

"Why you frowning dude?" An unrecognizable man said to me before sitting beside me.

"O-Oh..." I mumbled, a little uncomfortable at how forward he was being.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you, I'm Alex." He said with a smile before shaking my hand.

"Fuck yeah!" I heard from the other side of me, making me jump. That boy, it was that boy that Vic told me about!

"This is my friend Jack." Alex said with a sigh as Jack sat down and smirked.

"Oh yeah... My boyfriend told me about him." I said nervously with a chuckle.

"Boyfriend?" Alex said, seeming to ponder the thought. "Cool man, everyone at my school is homophobic it seems. It's not everyday I meet a gay guy."

"I'm gay." Jack exclaimed, making Alex roll his eyes and sigh again. Jack was drunk once again, but I don't think Alex was.

"No he's not, he doesn't know what he's saying." Alex retaliated, taking a beer bottle from Jack's grip. I laughed, becoming a little more comfortable with both of them. They were nice.

"Does he get drunk a lot?" I asked Alex in a whisper as Jack stood up to bowl again, only making it into the gutter like last time.

"Yes. If he drinks anymore than he does now I'd call him an addict." Alex replied teasingly, drifting his gaze to Jack as well. I laughed again. "You're pretty chill, like, I don't meet a lot of people like you."

"Is it because I'm gay?" I joked.

"Well maybe a little, but you just seem laid back and cool. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong."

"Well if I say you're wrong I sound pathetic, but if I say you're right I sound cocky." I noted, earning a sly laugh from Alex.

"I better get going." Alex said shortly after a strand of silence filled the gap between us. I watched him grab a napkin and a pen before writing down a couple of numbers. "It was nice meeting you, this is my number. Text me anytime, or Jack."

"Thanks, I will." I replied defiantly, though I was unsure of myself. I hate initiating conversations, especially when they're texts. Alex waved before hurrying off towards his lane. I laughed as I watched Alex help Jack stand up. There was a large wave of annoyed cussing going around the building because Jack had decided it'd be smart to lay in the middle of a lane.

With a sigh, I stood up and went to the bar before buying a beer and watching a group of guys play pool. Nobody else confronted me the entire time, and nobody there struck my attention, so I left a little while later. I mean, there was no point in staying.
