This contradiction could be explained, right? No way could that guy be my boyfriend. Sure, he was attractive and all, but he didn't seem like my type. Plus he was Mike's brother or something. They shared the same last name.
Hastily, I slammed the book shut and put it back on the shelf, mad at myself for ever looking. I should've just closed my eyes. Of course I did the idiotic action. I can't help it, I'm naturally curious and I saw a cute guy, what did I expect myself to do?
Immediately after the book was on the shelf, I left the room, shutting the door behind me. The last place I wanted to be was in the same room with that... Thing. I don't really know what I should title it. Life spoiler? A nightmare? Or maybe a dream?
On the couch was Mike and Tony, and to my relief neither of them were smoking. Mike even smiled as I took a seat in the chair. I kept quiet, messing around on my phone. I could hear them speaking to one another about what any other straight guy would be talking about; Girls. The conversation lasted for awhile until everything went dead silent. I looked up to meet their amused expressions.
"What?" I questioned immediately, convincing myself I did something wrong.
"Nothing." Mike spoke first, a cheeky grin plastered on his face.
"No, what?" I repeated.
"Well we were talking about chicks and you totally didn't join in." Tony remarked. I thought about what he said. He was right. When they started talking about getting digits and shit like that, I tuned out. I never even looked up.
"Yeah well..." I admitted sheepishly.
"So are you like... Gay?" Mike asked slowly. I huffed.
"Well you were going to find out some day. Yes, I'm gay. Go ahead and laugh."
"Nah, it's cool." Mike retaliated.
"R-Really? Wow... I just always get shit for it."
"Not anymore." Tony said with a grin.
"Yeah, everyone here is cool with it, so no worries there." Mike added on. A smiled started to form on my lips, so I played it off by biting down on my lip. "I should get going." Mike said after a few moments of silence. "Later." He remarked, waving at Tony and I.
"Bye." Tony and I replied in unison before I stood up.
"I'm going to go to bed." I informed Tony.
"Same, night Kellin." He walked past me towards his room.
"Hey Tony?" I questioned, making him stop in his tracks.
"Yeah?"
"Why did you tell me I needed to have a certain bedroom?" Tony grinned.
"That room has a bookshelf, and mine doesn't." And that's the final thing he said before disappearing around the corner.
A smile twitched on my lips, and that time I didn't try to play it off cool.

It took awhile for my eyes to adjust to the bright light shining through the window I forgot to draw. With a sigh I rolled out of the bed, landing on the ground with a soft thud. I then stretched and and got up off the floor, tossing my sheets around messily. Right now I was too tired to care. A knock on my door made me jump. Tony walked in a few moments later.
"Hey sleepy, get ready and let's go." He said in one breath.
"Excuse me?"
"We're going out for breakfast, tomorrow we'll get groceries." I nodded, walking over to my dresser. I dug through it for some clothes.
