Every single day was painful knowing that I couldn't have Vic beside me. I couldn't have his arms around me, and I couldn't have his lips against mine. Never had I felt so low.

"Honey, you should get out of bed..." My mom tried for the millionth time over the past three months.

"I don't want to." I objected, burying my face in my pillow. I heard her sigh in frustration, but like always, she never fought me on it and left me alone. My mind wandered so far that I don't know if it can ever come back by this point. The only reason I was still slightly active was the fact that Vic and I hadn't broken contact. We talked every single day, texting one another new stories, and occasionally we talked on the phone or video chatted. As for Tony, we hadn't talked that much. That wasn't surprising to me; Nothing lasts forever. I was just waiting for the moment Vic and I broke contact.

A loud buzzing coming from my phone resting on my bedside table got my attention. Hastily, I sat up and grabbed hold of it, noting it was Vic.

"Hey-Hello?" I answered quickly and a little nervously.

"Hey..." His voice filled the silence. My heart fluttered. If only he knew what I'd kill for to be with him right now. I kept quiet, just admiring his invisible presence. "You there?"

"O-Oh, yeah I'm here." I rambled nervously, getting off of the bed, but not without hitting my foot on the base. "Ouch." I grumbled.

"What's the problem?" Vic asked with a laugh.

"I hit my foot." I complained.

"Aww, do you need a bandaid? Should I kiss it to make it better?" Vic teased. I rolled my eyes to myself, but nonetheless I smiled.

"Shut up." Was all I said for a moment. "Your lips would go to better use if you were here by the way." I flirted, but it all came out wrong. So, so wrong. "I'm-mean um like, um-"

"Is someone sexually frustrated?"

"No! No, no that's not what I even, um- I meant... Like, you'd be kissing me."

"Where?" Vic responded boldly. I could practically sense the smirk plastered on his lips, but I was doing nothing but blushing.

"Oh my god, stop." I complained with a groan. "I try to make this relationship interesting with flirting, but it goes all wrong."

"That's okay babe, I'll love you even if you suck at flirting." Vic breathed. My heart fluttered, even though it was a half hearted insult.

"We got so off track, so why were you calling?" I questioned, trying to get back on topic.

"No reason in particular, just wanted to hear your voice."

"That's sweet..."

"I know." Vic replied cheekily. "Does your mom like gardening?"

"Huh?"

"Does she?" He urged. The total topic change threw me off.

"U-Um, well yeah. She always has a garden and loves flowers." I explained.

"What kind?"

"How would I know?" I responded quickly. "Why do you care-"

"She did a hell of a job with these orange and purple flowers." I heard Vic say, confusing me even more.
