Em's POV:

I pushed open the heavy wooden door of the sixth form library, wincing as it creaked and disturbed the silence. Softly closing it behind me, I scanned my ID card on the machine to my left before heading right and up the spiral staircase. My school bag sat heavy on my shoulder, full of biology books and pages of essays that needed completing. I reached the top and made a beeline for the back of the room and the table that I had claimed as mine a year and a half ago. Only in my head of course, I haven't graffitied my name all over it or anything. But other students know that's where I sit, and it still makes me chuckle when the first year students see me coming and hurriedly pack their things away and move to a different spot. However, today my space was empty and I breathed a sigh of relief as I could finally set my heavy bag down. I flopped into the chair and began to pull out my books, settling myself down with the intentions of getting some serious reading done. I propped my feet up on the table and flipped open the textbook I currently had on anatomy. After scanning the contents for the relevant chapter I began to read the information on the page in front of me.

20 minutes into my reading session I heard footsteps coming closer. I glanced over the top of my book and raised an eyebrow at the three girls who were walking closer. They ignored my look and sat themselves down at the table in front of mine, giggling to each other.

"Ugh I'm so stressed out about exams, A Levels are so much harder than I thought they would be!" One of them whined.

"I know right, take me back to last years GCSEs," her friend replied. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to biology, trying to focus on brain chemicals instead of the idiots using the library as a gossip spot instead of actually studying so they could pass the exams they're oh so worried about.

'Guys omg don't look now but I think that's Emily Styles," I heard one of them say, quieter than they had previously been talking but still loud enough for me to hear. I rolled my eyes again (I swear I do that for 80% of the day in this place) but didn't look up.

"Shit Becks I think you're right, I forgot this is her spot. Do you think we should leave?" Yes.

"I don't think she's even noticed us, and besides we're not on her table so she can't get mad." Watch me.

"As if we're sitting so close to his twin sister though!" And there it is. Go on girls, scream and squeal about how 'hot' and 'dreamy' my twin brother is then watch me launch this textbook at you.

"I'm, like, obsessed with their new album like omg Harry's voice gives me actual goosebumps," one of the brats squealed. Ugh give me strength, where are my headphones? While I rummaged in my bag for my headphones to block out the fangirling, the girls continued to obsess and pine over my brother and his band. They even started sharing facts about the boys that they'd found out, some about Harry that I didn't even know which was just fucking weird. When I had eventually found and untangled my headphones one of them piped up again.

"Slight change of topic, but I heard that she slept with Connor Jackson at a party last weekend. He's been telling everyone about it and people having been piping up with their stories. In my History class this morning one girl was saying that her sister saw them both come down from a bedroom all disheveled and he had this stupid grin on his face but she just stuck her middle finger up at everyone and left." I smirked to myself. Interesting.

"God she is such a slut, what do guys even see in her?! She's so scary with her I don't give a fuck attitude, and she plays so hard to get anyway. I don't get why guys bother chasing her."

"Because she's annoyingly drop dead gorgeous, and the players see her as a challenge. She's the only girl in their year that they don't have wrapped around their finger. But agreed, she is a total slut. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten pregnant yet. I don't understand how she even gets an invite to all the parties when she has no friends." At this point I decided to reveal myself so I slammed my textbook shut loudly, smirking when the three girls jumped and all turned to look at me.
