Niall's POV:

I settled down on the beach towel, leaning back on my elbows and looking out at the waves crashing onto the shore. Em dropped her backpack down next to me before taking a seat.

"This beach is gorgeous," she said softly. We had found a little cove, it was quiet and the sun was blazing down on it. "I can top up my tan," she grinned. She shuffled forward and gripped the hem of her dress. In one swift motion, she pulled it over her head before folding it into her bag. I bit my lip as my eyes scanned over her body that was now only clad in a navy bikini. She reached up to take her space buns out and instead pulled her hair into a ponytail, arching her back ever so slightly. I continued to watch her, smirking to myself, when suddenly I had a t-shirt whacked round my head. I looked up to see where that came from and found Harry dressed in his swimming trunks giving me a look.

"Eyes on her face Horan," he said sternly. I smirked at him and held my hands up in defence. Em turned around to face me at Harry's words and narrowed her eyes, a smile playing on her lips.

"Were you checking me out?" She said amused. I grinned and pushed myself up so I was sitting right next to her.

"Now why would I do that?" I asked, pretending to be all innocent. "It's not like you have the most amazing body ever," I winked. Em bit her lip with a smile and shook her head. She distracted herself by finding her sunglasses and slipping them on over her eyes. I chuckled and pulled her arm, causing her to fall into me so I could kiss her. She giggled against my lips before kissing me back, her hand reaching up and tangling itself in my hair. We broke apart at the sound of the boys wolf whistling and cheering me on. Em was bright red and glaring at them all, which only served to make them laugh harder.

"Oh my god," she mumbled with a nervous chuckle, hiding her face in her hands. "I'm going in the water to escape them, coming?" She asked, getting to her feet and holding out her hand. I grinned and took it, letting her pull me up. I pulled my t-shirt over my head so I was left in my swimming trunks and took Em's hand, running down the beach with her. We crashed into the water and Em squealed as it lapped around her hips.

"Oh it's so much colder than the Caribbean!" She gasped. I had automatically breathed in, as if that would somehow stop the water from touching me.

"Jesus Christ," I breathed, already shivering. I turned to Em and we both burst out laughing.

"I'm not going any deeper, it's too cold!" She said. I noticed goosebumps were now scattered across her arms. I gently took her waist and pulled her closer to me.

"I know something that might warm you up," I smirked. She returned it and bit her lip.

"Oh yeah?" She asked, tilting her head to one side. I cupped her face and leant in, pressing my cold lips against hers. I didn't care that the boys were probably all watching us from the shore. Em rested her hands against my chest. Her ice cold wet hands. I gasped against her mouth and moved back from her in shock. She giggled and winced.

"Sorry! I wasn't thinking!" She claimed, holding her fingers to her lips in a bid to hide her laughter. She failed miserably as a little laugh escaped her mouth. I shook my head with a grin before splashing her with water. She gasped loudly in shock as the cold water hit her. "Niall!" She screamed before sending water back at me.

"Okay okay, truce!" I shouted as she soaked me. We were both shivering now. "Did the kiss at least warm you up?" I asked with a smirk.

"Not in the slightest," she laughed. "But I didn't mind at least giving it a go," she added with a wink. I grinned at her.
