"You don't understand. He LOOKED and WAVED to me," Donghyuck whined into the phone, tumbling back onto his bed.

"Yeah? And? He realized you lived across the street," Renjun said back through the phone.

"Yeah after he saw me CRY," Donghyuck yelled into the phone with a pout.

"Ah so what. Get your ass here soon though because I am not dealing with any bitches today," He could hear Renjun's sigh and eyeroll through the phone.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming," Donghyuck said before hanging up the phone and staring at the ceiling.

He barely slept during the night. His mind plagued with both thoughts of his grades but mostly filled with Mark.

He shook his head and went to the bathroom. He put his hands on the counter and looked into his slightly tired eyes.

"Just forget about it Donghyuck," He whispered like a pep talk. "He'll forget about you and it will all be back to normal.

Or so he thought.

"If Hyuck doesn't get her in the next 5 seconds I swear-"

Renjuns annoyed growl was the first thing he heard when he walked into 'Ten's Cafe and Bakery.'

"Im here bishhhh," Donghyuck announced his presence to Renjun with a peace sign held up to his smiling face.

"Yeah late as always," Renjun rolled his eyes before throwing Donghyuck's pink apron at him.

He slipped it on with ease, tracing the small cursive black letters he had personally sewn into the bottom of it.

Duckie.

It was a comfort nickname. He had no idea where it actually came from but it was a name he would spew to himself when he had having a breakdown.

He would talk to himself like it was somebody else talking to him.

For the comfort he usually didn't receive from another person.

"Hyuckie!"

There was a loud squeal as Donghyuck pouted subconsciously, taken back when arms wrapped around him and shook him lightly (aggressive as fuck.)

"Ahhh Ten Hyungie," Donghyuck whined at the harsh shakes. "Stop that's hurts!"

Ten just laughed and pulled away from the hug, his eyes dropping to the display case behind Donghyuck.

"Oh crap," Ten said with a groan. "I forgot to put the red velvet cupcakes back in the case."

The bell rang in and soon there was a line of customers, who were currently having their orders taken from Renjun.

"Hyuckie," Ten gave him a little pout. "I'll let you go home with whatever cupcake you want if you put them in for me."

Donghyuck sighed before nodding his head with a smile. "Ok, how hard could it be to put a few cupcakes in the display case- HOLY MOLY WHY ARE THERE SO MANY?!"

Donghyuck's mouth was wide as he stared at all the red velvet cupcakes lined up in pans across the counter in the back room.

"Well...I got bored last night and then this kinda happened..." Ten smiled guiltily. "But I kinda need to sell them all today...we have a new seasonal request coming in and all the ingredients are arriving today."

"Yeah but there is no way I can fit all of these-" Donghyuck waved his hand about.

"OOP Someone's calling me! Have fun hyuckie!" Ten rushed out the door before Donghyuck had a chance to tell him that nobody was calling him.
