"Do you think its too late to tell him i can't go?" Donghyuck said as he put his eyeliner pencil down onto the counter, his waterline dusted with a bronzey shimmer.
"Are you stupid?" Renjun's irritated voice rang through the phone sitting on the counter. "Why did you agree in the first place if you didn't want to go?"
"I-i don't know," Donghyuck groaned and looked at himself in the mirror. His hands came up to fix the collar of his white button up. "I was sleepy and tired and Mark Lee was in my house."
"I dont know why you don't just tell him you like him," Renjun sounded irritated and Donghyuck could just picture his nosebrigde pinched between his fingers. "You two are practically on a date everytime you see each other."
Donghyucks hands latched onto the counter as he stared into his own eyes through the mirror.
It didn't matter what it seemed like.
Mark kissed him.
Then he took it back.
He doesn't like him.
"I can settle on being friends," Donghyuck said after a while, washing the excess makeup off his hands.
"Donghyuck," Renjun's voice got a bit more serious. A tone the older would use when he was about to tell him something big.
Then there was a knock on the door.
"Coming!" Donghyuck yelled before speaking to Renjun again. "I gotta go junnie but keep your phone on just in case I die or something."
"Ill keep my phone muted then," Renjun snorted when Donghyuck dramatically gasped.
"Rude. Anyway I lub you byeee," Donghyuck said loudly into the phone, letting a loud kiss noise through the phone before hanging up.
He took a deep breath before walking out to the living room and opening the front door.
"Hey-" Donghyuck wanted to fall to his knees.
Mark's black hair was styled away from his forhead matching his sleek black button up, his black baller and his black pants. His silver watch glowing on his wrist as he played with it.
"Hyuck?" Mark waved a hand infront of Donghyucks face, a small smirk plastered on his own.
"O-oh hey um-" Donghyuck opened the door wider.
"You ready to go?" Mark checked his watch, his jawline of full view as he looked down at it.
If Donghyuck was alone he would be drooling.
"Mhm," Donghyuck hummed and locked the door behind him.
"Hey I uhm..." Donghyuck asked as he got situated in Marks car, pulling his seat belt on as he tried to find the words he wanted. "Is there a reason...you don't get along with your family?"
Mark didnt respond at first, his fingers just drummed against the steering wheel as he began to drive down the road.
"I dont care for money," Mark said after a while, his face unbothered as the car turned. "My mother does."
"Is thought-" Donghyuck cut himself off when he realized what he was going to say would've been rude.
"Hmm?" Mark raised a brow in question. "You can say it."
"...i just thought your family would pay...like for your things," Donghyuck let his hand grab onto the handle of the side door.
"Most would," Mark nodded his head as if the question didn't even bother him. "I dont let them pay for anything. They felt their money like its kindness and I hate it."
