"What no way?!" Donghyuck exclaimed as he walked down the street with Mark, their hands swinging between them as Mark laughed.
"Yeah I totally backed into the stop sign and it became one with the roof of my car," Mark rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand but kept laughing.
"What it was your car?" Donghyuck tilted his head as he looked forward down the dark sidewalk they were on. "Why didn't you take your car instead?"
Donghyuck was suprised when Mark's cheeks turned pink and the hand he now noticed in his was getting a little sweaty.
"Dunno. It's shorter to take a car?" Mark shrugged with that bullshit of an explanation.
"Uh no kidding?" Donghyuck raised an amused brow at that before shaking Mark's hand. "Seriously though."
"I wanted to spend time with you," Mark squeezed his hand gently, his eyes not daring to look at Donghyuck. "I think you're interesting."
Donghyuck's mouth dropped a bit at that before a moment of silence washed over them.
"I....I think you're quite interesting too," Donghyucks cheeks were now pink as he looked away from Mark.
Mark rose a teasing brow before bumping his shoulder in Donghyuck's. "Hey! Why am I 'quite' interesting?"
"Because you are the only person I've met who's first car became fused with a stop sign," Donghyuck giggled before letting out a loud cackle at the image of the poor car.
"Yeah yeah I bet you've done something stupid too," Mark rolled his eyes but tightened his grip on Donghyucks hand, the smaller fingers feeling warm in his.
"Oh boy things you'd never believe," Donghyuck rocked his head back to look at the sky as he smiled at all the stupid things he's done.
Mark would never even think of them.
"Oh yeah?" Mark inched a bit closer to Donghyuck. "Like what?"
"Mmm you're not ready to hear any of them," Donghyuck let out a dramatic sigh and waved his hand. His confidence boosting a bit because of the late night vibes.
"Try me," Mark moved in a little closer as Donghyuck laughed at him.
"Maybe one day I'll tell you," Donghyuck settled on as he too moved a bit closer to Mark. Their shoulders brushing as they walked. "But I'd like to remind you we only met a few weeks ago."
Mark hummed but his eyes couldn't stay off Donghyuck. His honey tan skin, his large caramel eyes, his button nose and the small but still bright smile on his lips.
"Hang out with me tomorrow," Mark blurted out and both of them were suprised with how bold the words sounded.
It wasn't a question.
"Mm tomorrow?" Donghyuck tilted his fluffy brown head. "I dunno..."
"How bout this?" Mark squeezed his hand, smug but persistent. "Let's race to the bakery and if I win then we hang out tomorrow."
Donghyuck thought about the offer before looking down the street. The bakery wasn't too far at that point but his legs were a bit tired.
But hey.
It's a chance with Mark Lee.
"Alright," Donghyuck nodded and frowned a little when Mark pulled his hand away, leaving the little palm feeling cold.
"Line up here," Mark pointed to a line on the sidewalk and Donghyuck and copied Marks stance.
"Ready," Mark started.
