Donghyuck woke up with a smile on his face. It stayed in place the whole morning while he got ready for school.
"Today will be good," Donghyuck said to himself in the mirror.
It had to be.
He had looked forward to it so much with all the other crap happening to him.
He put on his favorite purple sweater with a pair of black jeans that hugged his legs just right. He even decided to wear his new sneakers his mom sent him. He put on his special makeup look, he even put on hints of glitter.
Then he was out the door with a big smile on his face.
"Good morning!" Donghyuck beamed when he walked into class.
"Ugh morning," Jaemin grumbled in his seat.
"Soo whats up?" Donghyuck asked with a bit of excitement.
"They didn't have coffee at the cafe this morning and it was way too late to go to the coffee shop," Jaemin complained, banging his pencil onto his desk. "Today sucks already. What about you?"
Donghyucks smile dimmed a bit, not much but a little bit. "Oh. Nothing."
Minus Jaemins coffee complaint, he doesn't think this day could be ruined. Not even his Mrs.Kim could ruin this day.
45.
WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK-
Donghyuck took a deep breath before sliding his paper into his folder.
He could worry about it any other day but today was not it.
"HAIII-" Donghyuck busted into the bakery an hour after school let out.
"AII SHUT UP!" Renjun groaned despite the fact he was literally in front of a customer. "Hyuck get your uniform on. I'm struggling here."
There was a line of 12 people standing in front of Renjun and Donghyuck couldn't see anybody in the back.
Donghyuck shook his head with a laugh before throwing his apron on.
It was ok.
Renjun was always like that anyways.
He struggled to tie the strings around his waist for a minute. He felt hands take the strings from him and pull them tight around his torso.
"Geez Channie," Donghyuck heard Ten laugh in his ear. "You've been working here for 8 months and you still can't put your apron on properly."
Donghyuck smiled before turning around and throwing his arms around Ten. "Ten-hyung!"
"Woah!" Ten laughed wrapping his arms around Donghyuck before ruffling his hair. "Geez what's gotten into you."
Donghyuck smile inched a bit smaller.
Only a little bit.
"As much as I love the hugs," Ten pinched his sides making Donghyuck jolt back with a giggle. "We have jobs to do."
Donghyuck went to open his mouth but closed it when he heard Renjun yell.
"HYUCK IM GONNA DIE IF ANOTHER BITCH ASKS FOR A COFFEE WITH 7 SUGARS."
Donghyuck sighed but shook his head before smiling and taking the register next to Renjun. "I can help who's next!"
Whew.
It was the end of his shift.
Donghyuck began to untie his apron and smooth it out before folding it.
