The glass shattered at his feet, making a few people in the room look at him.

"What was that?" He heard Mr.Lee ask and he could hear footsteps getting closer to the door way.

Donghyuck's shakey gaze looked up and he could see everyone now looking at him.

He could see Mrs.Lee staring at him from where she stood at the top of the stairs.

"Donghyuck?" Mark's voice rang in his ear.

Donghyuck bolted.

He ran right out of the room.

Away from everyone's gaze.

Away from Mrs.Lee's glare.

Away from Mark.

He didn't even know where he was going, he ran down the mural painted hallways until throwing a door open and locking himself in side.

He locked himself inside on of probably many bathrooms in the mansion.

We're nothing.

Mark's words were like a sharp knife into his heart.

Then why was he here?

He knew...he knew that Mark would never return his feelings.

But he atleast thought they were on somewhat of a level of friendship.

He held onto the sides of the sink and looked at himself in the mirror.

You're beautiful.

Maybe Mark lied to him.

Maybe the only spark of sincerity he ever felt was a lie itself.

Too chubby. Look at his face, yikes.

If Mrs.Lee could say it then why would Mark spare his feelings to tell him lies.

That they were friends.

That were actually something.

Donghyuck watched a tear roll down his face, a small bit of eyeliner making an appearance on his cheek.

Maybe Yuta was right.

Donghyuck wasn't the kind of person people liked.

He would be the last resort.

An only if the wording were ending.

Flashback

"You know the truth," Yuta let his hand trail towards the side of Donghyucks neck. "Don't you darling?"

Donghyuck could only shake as Yuta's hand trailed down to his hip, pinching the skin so hard it drew blood.

"Look at how pathetic you are," Yuta's brows furrowed in disgust. "You've lost your touch. You don't even struggle anymore."

Donghyuck let his tears roll down but he just took the words, absorbing them into his heart.

"Is it because you know?" Yuta raised a brow, taking his hand and grasping tightly to Donghyuck's thigh. "You finally know all of that hope and romance crap isn't coming for you. That you are too much of a nobody for love...that you would only disappoint."

Each word was an arrow to his poor heart.

Building up and up and up on his heart, just waiting for the ball of love to cave in.
