Marks lips parted quickly from his and soon Donghyuck felt himself get dropped in the water.

What the fuck?

Donghyuck panicked, swishing his arms around in the high water.

Arms wrapped around his waist and yanked him up again, he took a harsh deep breath as he resurfaced.

"Im sorry! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" Mark's voice was panicked in his ear, his arms snug around Donghyucks waist.

"Mark...what the fuck?" Donghyuck wiped the water from his eyes.

"Im sorry! I shouldn't have done that," Mark's arms got a bit loose on him again but Donghyuck quickly latched his arms around Marks neck.

"Mark!" Donghyuck growled a bit. "Shouldnt have done what? Drop me? Cuz I definitely agree."

"No," Mark tightened his arms again with a sigh. "I shouldn't have kissed you."

Donghyuck's eyes widened and his heart dropped down to the bottom of the ocean.

Mark regrets kissing him.

"Right..." Donghyuck whispered, his voice almost drowned out by the sound of the waves as Mark began to take them back to shore.

All his worries from the beginning being confirmed hurts worse than any low grade.

How could he be so stupid?

To think that polished, perfect Mark Lee could ever want to be with him.

He has it all.

A rich family.

Amazing friends.

Captain of the hockey team.

Perfect grades.

What would Lee Donghyuck contribute to that?

He would never be close to matching up to the life of Mark Lee.

He's seen it all through the window.

He's seen Mark's life.

The view through Mark's window would never shine as bright as the one through Donghyuck's.

"You alright?" Mark placed a hand on Donghyuck's lower back, helping him put his feet on the ground.

Donghyuck nodded, wiping his now runny nose with the back of his hand.

"You sure?" Mark's eyebrows dipped as he put his hands on Donghyuck's upper arms.

Donghyuck just nodded again, trying not to let his disappointment show.

He isn't allowed to feel disappointed.

Not everything is about you, Donghyuck.

He needed to remember that.

"Yeah...just cold is all," Donghyuck let out a small laugh, clearly fake but Mark didn't need to know that.

He wasn't lying either.

His wet clothes clung to his skin and the cold night wind made him feel chilled to his bones.

"Ah me too," Mark awkwardly agreed before grabbing onto Donghyucks hand. "I got an extra sweater in my car."

Donghyuck didn't know how to feel.

One minute Mark kisses him.

Then he takes it back.

Now he is holding his hand.

He remembers the first time he saw a sequence like this.
