Oliver’s POV
As soon as there was a knock at the door I saw her shoulders tense up and her posture stiffen. I walked to the door and opened it I didn’t see anything so I didn’t think much of it until I saw him. A person that escaped more than once… Vertigo. Before I could do anything there was a tranquilizer dart in my throat. “Shit!” I thought to myself. Was he here for me or for her? My question was soon answered as he took her away. I heard her struggle until she was probably tranquillized as well. The last thing I saw was the count carrying her away. Then I was sucked into a black hole.
It took me an hour to wake up I could only imagine the dose of tranquilizer.
“Damn it!” I say as I limp to the foundry. I call Roy as back up as I couldn’t do much as my knee wasn’t fully healed. I injected laxocoldyl in my right leg to stop the pain and I got ready and traced her phone only to find that she was in a warehouse nearby, held hostage. I was thinking about a plan as Roy and I made to the warehouse why in the world would he want her, did he want a test subject? God if he laid one hand on her he was getting an arrow through it. No body hurts her and gets away with it. I slowly enter through the front and Roy goes around back. I walk slowly, well more like limp to a big room with Vertigo and a blonde woman tied to a chair. I jump off the ledge I was on.
“Let her go!” I say in my arrow voice. He starts laughing maniacally. I was startled and there are 4 guys with guns. Pointing them at me, usually this wouldn’t be a problem but now…
“Sorry to interrupt your breakfast like that but I noticed something about you. You have many scars on your body I’m going to help you with this, it will ease your pain.” he says taking a syringe and injecting the vertigo into her system.
I fall to my knees and I feel my life be draining away as if I were shot. She’s been through so much and now vertigo had her and injected a foul drug into her. I wanted to kill him but I couldn’t with guns pointing at me. Vertigo cut the ropes binding her to the chair and she sat there for a minute longer before Vertigo tried hitting her, she dodged and fell to the floor. What was she seeing, what was she facing. I walked over to her. I could see tears forming in her eyes, what was she seeing, then I heard it.
“I can’t believe he’s gone… Oliver’s gone, he’s not coming back.” she whispered to herself as tears streamed down her face. Was that what she was facing, the thought of losing me? I couldn’t bear seeing her like this. I punched Vertigo unconscious and asked Roy to take Felicity to the foundry. I was to take a while to get to the foundry because of my knee. It was all my fault I swore I was going to protect her and I failed at doing that I ran to the foundry as fast as I could and I stayed with her. When she woke up I hugged her tight and she explained to me what she saw. She saw me dead, cold and she thought that it was her fault for not stopping me.
“I’m here and I’m not going anywhere!” I say as I hug her close and I swore to myself that if anything else happened to her I was to hang up the idolized hood I wouldn’t risk her life over this crusade. She was worth more than I could ever give her.
Let's get one thing clear I am not a terrible person. I know I may look that way to you but I swear I'm done making bad things happen to good people, for now. Trust me when I say it was necessary for Oliver to learn that and I'll reveal why soon. Please comment and sorry if I seem like a terrible person.
