A Surprise

Oliver’s POV

I was so happy she had woken up. It had been a week since she’d woken up. She was to get discharged today I was so happy. I was still on crutches she never asked me why and I appreciated it. I was going to tell her I slowly make my way to her room. She was still asleep and I kissed her head softly and she slowly moved.

“Good morning!” I say softly.

“Good morning.” A very tired voice emerged from the blonde. I smiled. She had that effect on me she could always make me smile. Slowly she turned to look at me.

“Oliver? What time is it?” she asked still half asleep.

“10:30 in the morning.” I answer “The doctor said you can leave today.” That caught her attention

“I can’t wait to get out of here” She replied with a new spark in her eyes. I was happy she was going to get out of here.

“I already signed the discharge papers we can leave whenever you want.” I say as her face lights up making me smile widely. Okay I’ll change and be right with you.

“Okay!” I answer leaving the room. I called Barry.

“Is everything ready?” I ask.

“Not really I got caught up. Cisco and Katlin are there but I got some fires to deal with, but once I’m done I’ll be right there.” He answers.

“Okay make sure it’s before 11.” I answer.

“Got it.” he says as I hang up. Then I call Diggle.

“Are the reservations and everything set up?” I ask as I put him in charge.

“Yes Oliver everything is ready.” He says.

“Good. Barry will be there shortly…” I say as I hear a whoosh behind them assuming it was Barry. I looked in the room and Felicity was walking towards me slowly. She was slightly limping. “I gotta go!” I say hanging up and putting my phone away.

“You ready?” she asks as she walks out of the room. I nod and I start making my way through the hospital.

“You’re probably wondering why I have these.” I say referring to my crutches.

“I was kind of curious since I woke up.” She replies.

“Well I got an arrow shot through my knee.” I say as I make a face that says that really hurt.

“Wow I did miss a lot.” She answers half-jokingly.

“I’m just glad you’re okay.” I answer as we make our way towards the car that was parked outside I got in with some help. Then Felicity got in after me and Dig closed the door.

“Where are we going?” she asked.

“I have a surprise for you.” I say as I let Diggle do his thing. I had a surprise welcome back with everyone that she cares about.

I was kind of scared about the “what ifs” but I was going to take much more than a “what if?” to make me back out of doing this. We got to our destination and I was helped out of the car by Diggle and then I walked over to Felicity’s side and opened the door for her. We walked into the restaurant together, when we walk through the door all we hear is a really loud synchronized:

“Felicity!!” Everyone said as soon as they saw her.

I caught a glimpse of her face she seemed delighted and I couldn’t help but smile. I knew that this is about as good a day we’re going to have so I decided to enjoy the moment and I allow myself to relax for once in over four months I allow myself to relax and enjoy the great Company that was here today. Everyone took turns hugging her and she was happy. This reunion with all her friends I had hoped it would make her happy and it looks like it did even Captain Lance was here. We all sat at a really long table and talked about our lives until it was closing time.

I take Felicity home and I walk her to her apartment. She invites me in and I walk over to the couch and she changes into pajamas and walks over to the living room. She puts on her favourite movie and she falls asleep halfway through it. I ignore the pain in my knee and I carry her to her room and veil her and she grabs my hand I smile and I decided to stay there and hold her hand, I started drifting off to sleep with Felicity’s Head on my shoulder and her hand placed perfectly within mine.
