Oliver’s POV

It was late so I decided to take Felicity back to her apartment. She woke up slowly and I told her the reason for disturbing her sleep. She smiled and I get the crutches and she helps me up the metal stairs. We slowly walked from Verdant to Felicity’s apartment. It was a short but pleasant walk. When we finally got there she unlocked the door and opened the door. I was about to go when she invited me inside.

“Thank you!” I say as I enter her apartment. “How about I cook dinner and you relax for a few minutes.” I say not exactly giving her a choice.

“But…” I put my finger over her lips in a no buts gesture.

“I’ll take care of it.” I say as I make my way to the kitchen to see what I could make dinner out of luckily the fridge had everything I wanted to make spaghetti with vegetable sauce. I got to work chopping vegetables while Felicity was showering from my experience with girls it gave me about half an hour to prepare dinner and that was just how much time I needed. My hope was that it would be ready so as soon as she gets out of the shower it’s all set out. While the spaghetti was boiling I got to setting the table I set down two plates a fork and a knife for the two of us a napkin nicely folded and sitting on each plate. I was pretty satisfied. When the pasta was ready faster than expected I made a run to the corner store to get a nice bouquet of flowers and then made my way back to her apartment. She finished showering as I entered which gave me a window of 30 seconds to look like I never left. I made it to the living room and I waited for her to come, a few minutes later she comes back with a white tank top that was hugging her curves and pajama pants. Her hair was wet and hanging loosely around her shoulders and her blue eyes were perfectly projected through the rim of her dark glasses. She walks in and she is in awe.

“Well Mr. Queen it appears there is more than meets the eye.” She said jokingly I play along and act hurt.

“There always was. I got these for you.” I say handing her the expensive looking bouquet. She smiles and takes them.

“They’re beautiful.” She says as she puts them in a vase.

“Not as beautiful as you.” I whisper in her ear as she wraps her arms around my neck. I start kissing her neck softly and then move on to her jaw and made my way to her lips. We were so drawn in the moment that I forgot that the pasta was on the stove. The water started overflowing breaking me away from the moment I ran to the kitchen and turned the stove off I was thankful that the pasta wasn’t burnt so for the rest of the night we talked and ate. Towards the end we decided to watch a movie. She fell asleep on my shoulder for that night all my memories and worries disappeared. They usually did when she was around she was all I needed to be okay. I couldn’t live without her. The first person I could see as a person and if anything happened to her I would be forever guilty and I would never forgive myself for not being there when she needed me. For failing her but for now I was not worried about anything because she was here I my arms. I wrap a protective arm around her waist and I allow my self to fall asleep with Felicity in my arms.
