Oliver’s POV

I was in the room and I heard footsteps and my hair stood on end and I was fully aware of my surroundings I wasn’t sure who was here but I could see moonlight shine on a long object which I could bet was a sword or knife. Were they here for her or for me? either way I was going to kill whoever it was I wasn’t going to let her get hurt any further. I was going to protect her even if it meant my life. She was not dying I wasn’t going to just stand there and watch. The figure was in front of me and I was thankful for the shadows obscuring me from view. I slid off the chair and used my hands as support while I swept the person off their feet they fell on their back and dropped the sword I reached for it and I was going to use it to kill whoever was here I stabbed it in the floor as the Intruder rolled to the side.

“I’m not here for you.” The mysterious person said and she had a  woman's voice.

“I am not letting you hurt her.” I say with a voice foreign to my own ears. “You want her you have to go through me first.” I say as I see a sword coming to me. I lunge to the side and slam my hurt knee against the ground and I yell out in pain. I really hoped someone that was on my side could come and help me I was at a clear disadvantage because of my new handicap. I was really struggling the pain was radiating through my whole leg and I wasn’t able to get up I see the attacker’s face and I knew at once why she was here.

“Nyssa, you can kill me but don’t touch her.” I say as I use the counter beside me as support because of my inability to stand I was now testing my balance I felt like I was being tested for impaired driving.

“You pose no threat to the league.” She said I was starting to get really angry. I couldn’t move and she backed away from me and started towards Felicity. I was frustrated with every limb in my body. She raised her sword without thinking and ignoring the radiating pain I used all my force to push her out of the way she hit the wall. I was panting but I had a slight smile on my face knowing what I was fighting for. I was fighting for the love of my life. She kicked me in the knee she shot an arrow at. I grunt as the throbbing pain becomes unbearable. I fall to one knee.

“Perfect now you can watch me kill her.” She says I wasn’t going to let it happen. I caught a glimpse of the clock it read 4:55 am. 5 minutes and a nurse would be here. Just five more minutes, I had to fend her off for 5 minutes. I got up and pushed the blade out of Felicity’s way as I tried to deflect the blade now headed for my lower abdomen. I tried to dodge it and I grabbed the blade with both hands and flipped her to the side. I used the sword to jab it through her arm nerve so now she had only one arm.

“I can only use one leg and you can only use one arm. Now we’re even.” I say.

“This is not over Oliver Queen!” she says as she jumped out the largely open window.

I fell to my knees and started coughing. I was feeling light headed the room was spinning and my vision was white I couldn’t see a thing. I closed my eyes and I kept coughing. The coughing got more severe. I started coughing blood I knew it was because I shouldn’t have fought but I couldn’t let Nyssa kill her she wasn’t going to touch her while I was here. After 3 minutes of coughing I was finally just panting although my leg was throbbing, pain shooting up and down my leg. I wanted to be sure that she was okay so I used the bed as a support to get back on the chair once I saw her angelic face unfazed I blacked out on the chair beside the bed.

I had no idea how long I was out for I woke up in a hospital bed, I looked to my side and saw Diggle’s worried expression, turn into a relief.

“Hey!” I grunted painfully.

“Are you out of your mind?” he asks without even answering. I gave him a confused look although I knew what he was talking about. “You fought her? Oliver she could’ve killed you!! You were out for 3 days.” he says as the alarm in his voice grows.

“She didn’t, Diggle. I’m fine.” I say calming him down. “How is she?” I ask instinctively.

“She still hasn’t woken up yet, Oliver…” He starts before I cut him off.

“She’ll be okay. I know it. I believe in her. She will wake up and soon.” I say so certain I was right.

“I don’t know Oliver things don’t look good, it’s been 4 months and her vitals haven’t improved yet.” He says helping me to my feet.

I was considering the worst I let her go more than once, finally we were in a good place I was facing the fact I may never see her again I couldn’t accept that.

“Felicity, please if you can hear me please come back to me.” I whisper so Digg couldn’t hear as he helped me to her room again, I was going to be with her until my leg healed which looked like a long while.
