17 - Planned

(Todo's pov)

Chloe brought a girl with us after School, announcing her as the one who made the cream puffs she shared with us, and a boy with shoulder length blond hair who appears to be a Mouse Hybrid met her at the gate to the campus. so the two of them walked with us, but their not visiting my apartment like Shinso and Chloe are.

"when I went to replace Cora's bell, I thought I saw someone who seemed like Deku with you?" she asked.

"Deku?" Shinso asked.

"well, Musume got rid of him, she used to have a cat, judging from the fact that she consistently threw a fit at me whenever I brought Andi or Chantel over, she probably didn't know he was a hybrid, and flipped out when she found out" she explained. I immediately knew what she meant.

"oh! I renamed him Midoriya." I explained.

"oh, that's nice." she mentioned.

"Magi... we have to turn here..." the mouse boy, Nate, told her. the group stopped at the fork in our path.

"sadly, we have to depart here, Todo? you said you were looking for a job?" she asked.

"yeah?"

"I'm going to be graduating soon, and once I do I plan to open a small café, if it'll help, I can hire you?" she offered.

"Thanks, I'll keep it in mind." I told her.

"Alright then!! see you guys later!!" Chloe waved to them goodbye.

"bye!" the two of them headed home. we continued walking, sadly Shinso has bullshit he's supposed to deal with, so he can't really stay to visit, but he still decided to walk with us. when we arrived at my apartment he left. I unlocked the door so I went in first, and immediately Midoriya pounced on me.

I chuckled, "I was only gone for 7 hours, Midoriya." I pointed out.

"7 hours of loneliness~" he whined, being dramatic.

"you have a bell, you can go outside." I reminded him, he muttered something about how it's not the same. "what was that?" I asked.

"nothing!" he insisted. I put him on the couch, sitting next to him.

(Chloe's pov)

Todo and Midoriya did their own thing, and I got a message on my phone.

'guess what' - Mage

'yeah?' - Chloe

'I have four Hybrids, but I'm lonely and have issues approaching new people, so I want more to be my friends, my mom agreed that I'd get two more if I don't let my grades fall all the years' ending, I know I want a Chinchilla, but I might need a second opinion on the other, so as the year's ending I might bother you about this' - Mage

'that's great, I'll be waiting' - Chloe

suddenly I felt someone tugged my sleeve, and I looked to see Midoriya, and he lead me off to talk to me in private.

he pulled a pair of sharpened scissors from under the bed.

"I got mad at Musume and started sharpening a random pair of scissors I found... I accidentally hurt myself, so I hid them so Todo doesn't hurt himself trying to use them.... Shinso said it's not okay to harm others, but... what if they deserve it?!" he insisted.

"ok, ok, calm down. deep breathes. I know what you mean but I've managed to some how control my anger." I mentioned.

"... alright...." he muttered, I know he won't let it go, he's going to do something, I'll at least make sure he doesn't do anything stupid and get caught.

"I'm willing to help you, but I'll warn you now, if either of us get caught; we're in big trouble. Not just with the police, hell, you probably don't even care about them, but Todo and Shinso will be upset too." I explained. he should remember what Denki said, 'a Hybrid with a bell should know better'. if he knows what he's doing, I can't actively fault him for wanting to protect Todo in unconventional ways... he'd stop if Todo was being treated properly, right? then it'd just have to be a simple straightforward rivalry, without anyone having to take revenge on Todo's behalf... right?

hopefully, I can keep him calm.

"We won't get caught!" he insisted, hiding the sharpened scissors under the bed.

and so I ended up returning to the apartment building after dark to get Midoriya.
