20 - Too Late

(Chloe's pov)

"I see, I'll sort it out" I told her, and noticed the others were putting on a movie. I thought about if I should explain to Midoriya why he needs to stop sleeping with Todo for a while, or if I should explain to Todo why Midoriya needs to sleep somewhere else. We're watching Phantom of the opera by Joel Shumoker. 

"but why? Gerard Butler can't sing, he just screams his lines, and his deformity looks like a bad sunburn at worse." shinsou Mentioned. 

"because, I don't have access to any recordings of the stage musical, and I like Phantom of the Opera the Musical" Todo insisted. I giggled softly at their interaction. I couldn't bring myself to bother Midoriya, because they're cuddling, I'll talk to Todo about the possibility of a Rut later. 

The next day was the auditions, when the bell rang for me to leave my second to last class, I ran to Todo's apartment, grabbing Midoriya to act as moral support for Todo, and ran back to the campus. Todo was waiting for us outside the auditorium, he was already changed, I didn't plan on trying out, so I took the time everyone else used in the locker room to get emotional support Neko. 

"you'll be great! don't worry about it" I told him, handing Midoriya to him. letting them cuddle for a moment before we went into the auditorium. our dance instructor said Midoriya could be here, but he can't go on the stage or backstage, so I just sat it the audience seats, with Midoriya in cat form on my lap. he seemed disinterested in anyone else's, just waiting for Todo's audition. I pat his head to keep him patient, we never mentioned Todo's forming dance career, so it's understandable he's exited to see him dance.

soon enough, Todo was called out to Tryout, Midoriya was suddenly interested, even climbing up onto my shoulder to get a better view. I smiled gently, after Todo's tryout, he immediately came over to us. I placed Midoriya in his lap, as he was already trying to crawl over to him. 

"hey! you were amazing!" I told him, he smiled at me. 

"thanks" he mumbled and began petting Midoriya, so cute! I realized my fangirling might have been audible.

"Midoriya really is Amazing, the best thing that ever happened to me."

(Deku's pov)

'the best thing that ever happened to me', sure, Shoucchan said Chloe, Shinsou, and maybe even Denki were 'amazing', but my face suddenly felt warmer, and the world around me faded upon his follow up. 'the best thing that ever happened to me'...

that warmth seemed to spread to the rest of my body, I could vaguely hear Chloe fangirling, but that didn't matter to me.

soon we had to leave, I could tell I was moving, I transformed to be able to better stick to Shoucchan.

(Todo's pov)

Midoriya had his arms around me, clinging tightly, well, tighter than usual, at this point I'm hesitant to call it puppy love. though he didn't really come from the best situation, so I guess he could still be clingy or over affectionate without any romantic context. Before Mage left yesterday she left the book on Nekos at my house so I could read up on it on my own time to better understand Midoriya. we arrived meeting up with Mage and Shinsou, who both seemed confused about Midoriya's sudden clinginess, we didn't know what to tell them. 

we soon arrived at my apartment, and Midoriya still refused to let go, his face buried in my shirt, do I smell weird? what's he smell on me?

Cora, Chantel, Andrea, and Nate all seemed like they were trying not to laugh, is it a hybrid thing?

suddenly Midoriya flushed bright red, jumping off me, Chloe seemed to be waiting for this as she pulled him away to talk to him in private.

(Deku's pov)

suddenly I realized just how abnormal I was acting, Damnit, Shoucchan will think I'm weird! Chloe quickly pulled me out of the situation, bringing me to talk in private.
