7 - Mall Trip

(Deku's pov) 

We went back to the group to find Shouto had returned with the pretzels, everyone else had one, but Shouto was holding two, one was probably Chloe's. She carried me over.

"Hey! Sorry I left!" She told him.

"it's fine, he warmed up to you" he looked to me, seeming a bit happier.

"Yep! We’re friends now" she claimed as she handed me to him, giving me a look, telling me to wait for her to get Momo alone. I mewed in response as she grabbed her pretzel from Shouto, and went back to the rest of the group. Shouto split his own pretzel in half to share with me. As the group walked around, we went to different stores, the store clerks were fine with me due to being a 'support animal', as long as Shouto didn't get fur on anything he didn't intend to buy. Chloe and Shinso were buying hoodies, to hopefully get her to stop stealing his. Now I'm glaring at Momo again, as she's way to close to Shouto for comfort.

"Hey Shouto? Can I take Midoriya?" Chloe asked, probably noticing my glare, He agreed, handing me over.

"Hey YaoMomo?? Can you come with me please? I think I saw a good brush for Midoriya but I need your advice" Chloe looked toward the Raven hair girl. Momo seemed reluctant to come, but agreed.

"Thanks YaoMomo!! Your the expert here!!" Chloe insisted, and the three of us left the group. Momo seemed more reluctant to keep following when we started approaching a more abandoned part of the mall. Chloe then put me down.

"eh-!? Chloe, you can't just let him wande-" she started but was cut off by my transformation.

(Momo's pov)

When I told him he'd need to buy a pet brush, I meant for the idea of spending more money on that thing as incentive to either get it groomed or get rid of it. I didn't think I'd have to help chose one, but I still followed her. We started getting really far from the rest of the group, hell we weren't even in a functioning part of the mall anymore! I was about to ask Chloe where we were actually going, but then she put Midoriya down.

"eh-!? Chloe, you can't just let him wande-" I protested but was cut off by the cat turning into a boy. Either a little younger or just shorter than me, with curly green hair, cat ears and a messy tail, he was dressed like a homeless person but that was the least of my concerns when I looked at his face. I was stuck frozen in fear, his eyes were concentrated on me with pure malice. Once I finally got control over my feet back I stumbled back to try and get away, but he lunged. I tried to scream but his teeth were sinking into my throat, so I struggled against him through the pain. He seemed to ease up, Mercy?! But then he bit down again, everything instantly faded.

(Chloe's pov) 

I saw him bite down for the second time, and sickening snap rang through the hall, Momo's arms went limp, dead. I was kinda expecting this, but that was so brutal. We had to quickly hide Momo's body and get him cleaned up so no one would notice, and made our way back to the rest of the group, asking if Momo returned without me. After going to a few more stores the others got kinda upset, as she hadn't returned, and the police were called as she didn't answer her phone. The mall was closed for the search, so we all parted ways, just to meet back at Denki's for a sleepover. Todo is bringing Midoriya again, not liking to leave him all alone.

I met up with Shinso at his house, wearing one of his hoodies, he opened the door and smiled at me.

"Yeeeeeeyyy your finally donneeee, carrry meeeee" I said lazily, he walked down the steps. 

"I hope you know, you are very, very spoiled." He claimed joking, and crouched down so he could give be a piggyback ride to Denki's house. I climbed into his back, and we were off.

"I am potato Queen, peasant mortals!" I exclaimed.
