Princess Vixy died in her sleep, she was my grandpa's dog that I ended up being the one to name, I called her Vixy, since she was overfed when we got her and could barely move we nicknamed her sausage Princess, "Princess Vixy" ended up being her full name.
Before we decide on moving, Vixy lost her sight, but things were fine. She always seemed so depressed in the days leading up to the move, once we actually arrived, she stopped eating, and I became hesitant to actually pick her up because of how frail she felt. Half of me worries she believed spooky was a replacement. But spooky did adore her, every time she got the opportunity, she'd cuddle with Vixy, knowing she can't actually play with her
It happened so suddenly, I barely feel anything, this doesn't feel real, I stared at her laying in the box, she looked like she could stand up to get more comfortable at any second. I've had pets run away or get lost, this is the first time they've died while we're had them. I don't even know why she died, she barely ate, but grandma made sure she ate twice the previous day, she was fine until she just... Died.
