8 - Death

(Todoroki's pov)

I walked to Denki's house, holding Midoriya close to my chest to calm my nerves. What if something happened and Momo never comes back? I noticed I got to the door, and went up and knocked, Denki immediately answered, and let me in. I came in and sat down on the couch, placing my bag just to the side of it. Midoriya was rubbing his head against my face, seemingly knowing I'm stressed about something. There was another knock on the door, which Denki answered, greeting what must've been chloe and Shinso. I turned my head towards the doorway to confirm, finding Shinso carrying Chloe in on his back, ducking a little at the doorway so Chloe wouldn't hit her head on the doorframe.

"Put your bags wherever, Todo brought his bags into the living room" Denki told them. Chloe climbed off of Shinso's back. 

"Okie, my long lost twin!" She claimed and they headed in, she dropped her bag at the other end of the couch, noticing me cuddling Midoriya. 

"Hello, Shouto! Midoriya!" She greeted him too, who mewed in response. I greeted her back with a week smile, Midoriya was making me feel a little better. 

(Deku's pov)

"How are you feeling after... Ya know... I am trying to find her by going back to the mall but no luck so far..." Chloe asked him. 

"I'm okay I guess... I-" he was cut off by his phone ringing. He looks at the caller ID and quickly answers, given my heightened hearing, I could tell it was the police department on the other end. 

"Is this Shouto Todoroki?" The man asked. 

"Yes?" Shoucchan-senpai waited to hear what they found, given this had to be about that girl's death. 

"We've called to update you on our search for Momo Yaoyarozu, we sadly must inform you that she's been found dead behind the building. We're suspicious of foul play, but can't locate a murder weapon. We'll keep you updated." The man announced. Shoucchan-senpai didn't really notice he started crying. 

"Okay.... Thank you, officer..." He ended the call, I tried cheering him back up, that bitch doesn't deserve his tears. Chloe walked over next to us quickly, kneeling next to the couch being that Shoucchan-senpai was laying across it, and I was laying on his chest.

"Shouto?! What's wrong?!" She asked, somewhat worried about him. 

"Momo... She's dead..." I could feel the purple haired boy's gaze turn to me, probably somehow suspecting me. Chloe pretended to be surprised, lest the others suspect her. 

"S-She's what?!" The other blond, who I heard them refer to as either 'Denki' or 'Kami' turned on the TV, possibly hoping to get more information. Will the TV call me out though?! From my time living with Musume, it's not hard to believe that the people in the tv know everything. Chloe will do something to stop it right?! Of course the person in the TV was talking about what happened. 

"-Very recently the police have discovered a body behind the Rosebud Mall, which has been very quickly identified as the girl who disappeared earlier today, Momo Yaoyarozu. She appears to have been struck in the neck with a heavy sharp object, but forensic scientists have noticed unidentifiable DNA surrounding the wound similar to human DNA. Suggesting a bite wound..." The TV kept going but no one was paying attention anymore. Shinso looked toward me again, now officially knowing... And if he likes having eyes he's going to stay quiet. Chloe and I were playing innocent to the situation.

"Shit... Shit shit shit! This is all my fault!! I was the last one to see her!!" Chloe claimed, probably more stressed about the situation then having taken part in the disappearance. 

"Did she go off somewhere? Because I'm having a hard time understanding how a hybrid got into the mall with out either an owner or a bell. If they had an owner with them They wouldn't have had the opportunity to kill, and if they had a bell they'd have known better." Denki wondered. 

"I don't know!! We went to the pet store and she said she would be right back! I waited 10 minutes and she never came back!" She claimed, starting to fake cry a little.
