Nora was quiet in the front seat, while Damon and Elena carried on a casual conversation.
Her eyes remained unblinking, as she stared out of the windshield. On the way she attempted to come up with a plan, but as soon as they pulled into the big open parking lot there was not a thought behind her eyes.
"Welp, here goes everything." Damon said stretching out of the car.
Nora followed behind him in silence, with Elena after her. Leaves crunched under each of their boots to the rhythm of steps taken.
The black SUV was in seconds time behind them, and Alaric parked one space over.
Elena jogged over to the car, greeting Caroline out of the passenger and Bonnie slid out of the back. Damon went over to check-in with Alaric, and they sub-consciously left Nora alone. But not for long.
As soon as she realized that they were occupied, she turned around and whisked into thin air so fast no one saw or heard her.
Nora stopped right at the entrance, and took a deep breath gathering her feet underneath her, trying to get a feel of the building. To see if she could feel the presence of anybody but herself, but she didn't.
Though Nora wasn't familiar with where she was or where she was going, her walk sill held confidence as she made her way down the main hallway.
And then she was faced with a choice; left or right.
"Rebekah?" She called out from the fork in the road, not wanting to waste time doubling back if she had made the wrong decision.
"Kol!" She turned her head to the other side, almost jumping out of her skin when she heard the sound of metal clanking coming from the right.
Then it was quiet again, and she knew that a game was being played.
"Kai.." She whispered under her breath, taking the right turn.
She stood up straighter, and kept her head on a swivel as she crept her way down the halls, peering her head into every classroom. But each one was just as empty as the last, until she reached the very end of the hall.
There was another set of double doors, but these ones had glass screening so she could see straight through.
And her eyes landed on the prize.
She quickly scanned over Kol and Rebekah's dormant bodies on the floor in the cafeteria, and that was all the motivation she needed.
Her magic once again took on a life of it's own, as she doors bursted open as she ran to them.
"Beks." She comforted, kneeling down in front of her. "Bekah? Wake up."
"She won't." Nora heard the condescending voice from behind her and rose to her feet faster than you could blink, but she was soon filled with worry and fear.
There was nobody around. She couldn't see anybody in the room, and the lights were off. Her mouth hung slightly agape, as her eyes scanned across the room.
"If you're gonna make threats, the least you could do is show yourself."
"Oops, my bad." She heard the voice boom again. "Invisique."
Her eyes squinted as they adjusted to the lights that sprung on, and Kai appeared right in front of her.
"I'm sorry, I forgot that I even did that. I was wondering why you ran right past me without the blink of an eye." He scoffed to himself, like it dawned on him. "Silly Goose."
