My feet sunk into the warm water first, and then my body followed after. When I took baths or showers; the water had to be steaming. The feeling of pure relaxation, and zen covered my whole body as my muscles relaxed.
Then I was drowned back into reality, quite literally. I felt an iron grip around my ankle, and I was pulled completely under the water.
I jumped up, gripping the sides of the tub, and taking a breath since I wasn't ready. I could hear his chuckles as I wiped the water from my eyes.
"I didn't want to get my hair went, Nik! I hate you." The water in the tub got still, but I still didn't get my revenge. I didn't even have to say anything, it only required a little concentration for me to make the water start bubbling. He looked at me with his half smile since he knew it was my doing, and I raised my hand slightly over the water. Little droplets started arising above the water, and clustering together to form a one big droplet. Once it was a big as I liked, I smirked at him, before flicking my fingers. It splashed right in his face, but he couldn't even be mad about it.
"Getting cocky, I see." He emerged from the water slightly and started to crawl towards me. I lifted my chin a little, giggling.
"Maybe.." He leaned down, and kissed me, it was a prolonged kiss. He pulled back a hair, and I looked at his face, his eyes were still closed. I wrapped my arms around the back of his neck, and placed his lips on mine again, but this time was different. I felt his tongue merge with mine, as soon as I opened my mouth I heard my phone ring.
I kept my eyes closed in annoyance, before looking over at the sink and I saw it lighting up. I reached out my arm, and my phone gravitated to my hand in a second. I didn't look at the name, as I answered it.
"Hello?" I said with a huff.
"Hey, yeah, Nora it's me, Vicky." I looked at Klaus with wide eyes, before pushing him off of me, and tucking the hair that was in my face behind my ear. She called me back?
"Hey, hey um did you get my message?" Klaus looked lost, as my eyes were wide as saucers. I didn't even expect to get a call back.
"Yes, I did and I just want you yo know that I forgive you. Even though we lost touch after highschool, I know your life has been rough from the start. Getting your entire family killed at such a young age, the aloneness...and mixing the supernatural world in with it, was bound to make it worse." I sighed on from the other end of the line, in relief, gratefulness. "I know Eryn was your bestfriend, she was the only one able to get through to you. I know how hard it must be to live with that, so yes, I forgive you...but I swear I still see her around sometimes."
"Eryn, she's a doppelgänger. I could've sworn I saw her a few times too, but I want to see you."
"I wish I could, I'm not in Denver right now, I'm dealing with pack stuff. But whenever were both free, I would love too." I nodded my head to myself, since she couldn't see me. "I love you." I scoffed, in happiness. Of course I loved her.
"I love you too." I slid the phone down my cheek, before ending the call. Klaus still looked confused.
"That was Vicky, she called me back." I felt the tears brim my eyes when I looked into his, and I played with the phone in my hands. Then it started ringing, again. I looked at the screen, and quickly picked it up when I saw Oliver's name pop up.
"What's up?"
"Vampires, they're out in the Bayou, I think they're trying to take us for the spell. We could use some help." I blinked rapidly, before nodding, and my heart started to beat fast.
