Feeling on edge was such a big change from the oh-so peaceful summer.

So soon, too soon. It was as if I went from living like a normal teenage-girl in love, to right back to the chaos. Like I always have to be looking over my shoulder, not knowing who was planning their next attack.

But in this very moment, I do not have time to worry about the minorities when there is a big one I need to crack down on.

Freya.

I know that interrogating people, and trying to get them to disclose any information as to where she is was just a bust, as well as a complete waste of time. So, it looks like I'm just going to have to go out and get her myself. And I figure, that I can use my magic to get us a head-start, something that her and I have in common.

I picked up the half full glass of bourbon from the breakfast buffet that Klaus left this morning, and swooshed the liquid around in the mini glass, before walking out of the bedroom.

I am sick of feeling uneasy, not knowing where she is so I'm going to change that.

Aimlessly walking down the hallway, I turned to the first staircase that led me down to the foyer, and took it. Being in here, it gave me flashbacks to this morning.

after the vampire hostage that Rebekah brought in, everybody seemed to make themselves scarce. Including Klaus.

I don't know where they all went, and frankly I don't have time to worry about, or to look for immortals who can defend themselves when Freya could very much be on her left life. Or even dead.

But I will refuse to let myself think that way, and I will continue to hold out hope until she is reunited with us once again.

I took a short breath once my feet reached the bottom of the stairs, hearing the ringtone of my phone buzzing off in my jacket pocket.

Pulling out the phone, my smile faded when I read the name, and I hesitantly answered.

"Hey." I said breathy.

"Nora, I know that I have been blowing your line up, but I need to know if you guys found her yet. A lead; anything."

I feel bad for Keelin, wholeheartedly.

She was staying down at her house that was on the border of New Orleans, while all of the commotion went on. If anything were to happen to her, Freya would snap. Even though she is a werewolf with a moonlight ring, it's still not safe for her here, and I'm not willing to take any chances. I don't want another target for them to go after.

"It's okay, really I-I know how you feel. We haven't found her yet but, I think I have an idea." There was a long pause, and I knew it was her trying to accept the fact that she isn't here.

"I promise you that when we find her, you will be the first person that I call."

"Yeah, thanks." She whispered, and I nodded even though she couldn't see me.

Hanging up the phone, I walked over to the small bar on the far hand side of the living room, and tossed it on the counter in disappointment. Everytime that Keelin called looking for answers that I didn't have, it made me feel like a failure.

I lifted the glass back up to my mouth, downing the light auburn liquid in one swallow, and lightly placed the empty glass on the counter next to my phone.

I sighed, because after the phone call I suddenly didn't feel alone in the compound anymore.

I stood extra still, sucking the skin that rested just under my bottom lip in confusion. I swiveled my head over to the grand entrance, and shrugged off the feeling when I saw that nobody was there.
