February 2015

Bo groaned as she tried opening her eyes. Warmth was all she could feel, but in some spots it was too much. Rolling, Bo hissed when she hit something with her back. Her eyes widened as she saw a blurry sight of fire and broken wood and metal all around her.

Wha..

Where had she landed?

She tried moving, pushing herself up on her right elbow, trying to clear her sight as she glanced around the mess. She had landed on her right side, which definitely explained why it was aching so much. Her heart still hadn't calmed down, neither had the pounding in her head ─ though that may also be contributing to the blurry vision she couldn't get to go away.

The tower was completed ruined and Bo couldn't even tell where she had landed within it. She could see the ladder that had led into the room not far from her, a figure by it as the tower creaked from their movements and shifted more from it's unstable spot.

Bo tried opening her mouth to call out to who she assumed was Matt, but her throat felt utterly dry and no noise even came out.

Shit.

All she could hear was the roaring of the fire getting closer to her and the horror of the tower shifting more and more as Matt moved around. This was not.. so not how the night was supposed to go.

Why did the cable even snap?

Did... did the maniac cut it?

Bo tried not to think too much, as doing so just made her head hurt more, but she wanted answers. She had so many blank spots for the night that it was pissing her off. Her anger was ready to override her anxiety if she didn't die from falling alongside the tower.

She wanted to move, she did, especially to avoid getting any burns ─ not added to whatever ones she may already have, because Bo knew that the fire was pretty close to her legs ─ but it seemed impossible to try when she knew even the slightest movement could worsen the entire situation. Matt had been lucky moving around, not causing too much issue from where he had been and wherever he had gone outside of the tower. Obviously, the second descent of the tower hadn't injured him much.

Bo didn't even want to think of what it had done to Emily.

Glancing around, Bo shifted closer to the ladder. She was just right below it. It wasn't close enough to grab, given that meant Bo was on the ceiling of the tower and the ladder only stuck out so little from the floor.

But maybe...

Bo didn't get the chance to try anything when the tower dropped once more, making her scream. Something cut her thigh as the drop tossed Bo around the burning wood.
