LOST GIRL; CHAPTER ELEVEN
man or a monster─────
February 2015
Going to the left had brought Emily and Bo to a broken metal door. They moved it out of the way and walked through it, going to the left again and back into the open area they'd now been in twice, for the third time after they opened the latched door.
Everywhere they were going just led them back to this damn space.
Emily lead them back toward the open spot from where they had first walked in, the torch showing Bo that it was an elevator and not just a random opening in the woodwork. That meant they could go up.
Bo stood beside Emily as the girl pulled the lever, the elevator shakily moving up.
"Oh, come on!" Emily whined, "Let's go!"
"Em, it's old, it's not going to go fas─"
The elevator stopped, cutting Bo off. They were still inside the mountain. Emily whined again, stepping out. Bo sighed, following. It was better than being stuck in the same set of tunnels that led to one another.
Emily pushed herself up against the outside of the elevator abruptly, pulling Bo with her. Bo huffed, only for Emily's free hand to cover her mouth before any more noise could be made.
Bo was confused. Had she seen something?
"Oh God, please don't come this way." Emily breathed out.
Oh, so you can make noise, but I can't? Bo asked herself, rolling her eyes as the two of them stayed still for another moment. Emily leaned forward, letting Bo turn her head and see a man standing just a few feet away from them, but not looking their way.
Emily dropped her hand from Bo's mouth, grasping her hand instead again and pulling Bo behind her as she darted forward, away from the man.
"Get back here!" He called out for them.
Bo noted that up ahead there were openings in the wood, but Emily managed to jump gracefully over the openings ahead of them. Despite the fact that they were still holding hands, Bo stumbled behind her, but never let go, which kept her up to speed with the girl as they ran off the wood and onto solid ground once more.
Emily hesitated, glancing behind them to see a puddle of oil, tossing the torch onto it and pulling Bo with her again.
Bo was a little glad that Emily was just pulling her along because while Bo may have been getting quite well at ignoring the aching in her body from earlier in the night, it didn't mean her body wasn't trying to stop all the sudden movements, which would've made Bo a hell of a lot slower than Emily at the moment ─ but with Emily dragging her, it wasn't much of an issue.
