February 2015

Bo winced as Chris banged on the door to get the attention of whoever was sitting outside.

They waited a moment or two for the person to walk over and as soon as Bo saw her face, she wanted to curl up into a ball and die, or cry, she would take either in all honesty.

Bo stayed back as Chris and Sam called out to Jessica through the door, talking with her. She didn't want to interact with Jessica. She didn't have to, Bo thought, that was part of what Dr. Keller told her. No matter what Bo thought, she didn't owe any of these people her time. She was here for one person ─ maybe two, but Bo didn't feel like Chris needed her support as much as Josh did right now ─, not anyone else.

She didn't have to talk to any of the people she didn't want to.

Bo could just stand by and say nothing, which worked well with her non-confrontational side. And that was exactly what she planned on continuing to do around Jessica. The blonde had refused to even acknowledge Bo at the funeral, not even a single glance.

"Can you please let us out? Pretty please?"

Jessica pushed the button outside the door. Chris pushed through the door as it opened, the two girls following after him as he walked after Jessica into the snow.

"Oh my God, I thought we were goners." Bo rolled her eyes at his dramatics, smiling fondly. Chris' sense of humor was one that always lightened the mood. "Another ten minutes in there and I would've chewed off my own leg."

"Aw, sick, Chris." Sam groaned.

Chris gestured to himself, "Look, I got a lot of meat on my bones. This is all muscle down here."

Bo snorted, causing Chris to turn on her.

"You got something to say, Patton?"

"Yeah," Bo gestured to all of him, "there ain't much muscle to you, bud. Maybe if you actually started going to the gym like you said you would for New Years..." She trailed off, smiling at him, a playful look in her eyes.

Chris laughed, shoving her shoulder. Bo held onto Sam's arm to balance herself, smiling as she watched Chris snatch something from Jessica's hand.

Her smile faded slowly.

She forgot for a moment that Jessica was there too, but it hadn't even seemed like Jessica was planning on acknowledging Bo, just like the last time they had seen each other.

Both Jessica and Sam protested, but Chris just raised a finger as he read the contents. "My goodness. Seems like someone has a lil' crush on our good friend and dear class president Michael Munroe."
