The day goes by in a blur. I still don't know what to wear to the concert. As of right now, I am walking down the street to grab coffee for my mom and I. I'm debating on actually shopping or just scavenging through my closet. Just as I say that, I turn my head to look at the window of a random store. I guess I never realized how often I pass it and never realized it's there. I look in, and on display is a red cropped tank top with a flower surrounded by a ring in the middle. It's perfect, entirely my style. I look down at my phone to check if I have time to go check out the store. My phone lock screen lightens, and I see the number "4:44."
Okay, that has to be a straight sign from God himself.
I promised Ma I'd be home before 5:30, so I don't even have time to browse. I go immediately in, grab the top and take it to the register. As the girl is ringing me up, I notice something. "Excuse me, are you wearing a why don't we sweatshirt?"
She looks up at me and smiles, "Yeah, they are one of my favorite bands". She's super pretty, the pretty where you don't have to try. Her eyes are like this light green, and she has this lovely brown hair. Her hands are covered in rings, all silver. You can hear them hit against each other as she types on the keys of her register. If I was gay, she'd 110% be my type.
"Oh my god, are you going to the concert tonight?" I ask.
"Yeah I am!" says the girl.
"Oh cool, maybe I'll see you there." I say with a smile.
She hands me the bag with my shirt; I glance down at her name tag. "It's nice to meet you Isabella, I'm Kira."
"Nice to meet you Kira." She says with a wave as I leave the store. I look down at my phone.
Shit, it's 5:15; I need to go.
