"Okay so can you at least name them?"

"Yes Lai, I can. I'm not that hopeless."

"Then name them. Go." Laila says with such a look on her face. It's almost saying "I know you don't, but I want to see you try."

"Corbyn is the brunette one with the watch."

"Yeah it's a Rolex, but go on."

"Damn, they have that much money?"

"Yeah, dude, imagine one direction but low-key"

"I mean- yeah, okay." I blink because what do I even say to that, " Jack is the one with short hair and the nose ring."

"Ugh period, the love of my absolute life. He also has the cutest kid ever."

I audible gasp, "Isn't mans like 20?"

I wonder how he even has time to raise her with touring ontop of being barely an adult.

"First off, he's 21. Second, his ex co parents."

"Holy fuck, just can legal drink and now has a whole child to take care of. I couldn't imagine that type of stress."

"You know, you still have 3 more to name." stretching out the "you know."

"Oh, Daniel is the blonde,  cute smile."

"Yeah, we all call him a giraffe. His girlfriend and him are so cute, oh my GOD" she squeals.

I want to know if it's possible for this girl to get any more obsessed. Her fangirl meter is at  100.

"Jonah is the tallest and the one that likes Madeline Miller." I say.

"Question," she asks, "which one do you think is cuter: Jonah or Zach?".

"Neither, both aren't my type." I say with the blankest face. But in the back of my head, the thought crawls.

Who do I really think is cuter? Zach.

My immediate answer is Zach. I can't tell if maybe it's because I actually talked to him or genuinely think he's cuter, but my answer is Zach. I'd never let Laila know that, though.

"And obviously, I know Zach." I say to Laila.

"Yeah, duh, y'all are getting married. I'm convinced."

"Okay, whatever you say." I stretch out the "y" at the end of okay.

She then turns to her phone, rapidly texting away. I sit there in the comfortable silence with the train's sound rumbling and soft music playing of the fangirls around us. Sprinkled around the train are girls in merch, talking on their phones or thoroughly just enjoying the ride. I guess I never realized how big this band could possibly be.

After about one more stop, the train yelled out, "NOW APPROACHING 34TH STREET". Almost our entire cart gets up to get out. It's about a 5-minute walk from the station to Madison Square. I was so confused why Lai wanted to leave 2 hours before the concert started. I now realize it's because everyone and their mom decided to come early, not counting the people who will show up in the span of these next two hours. God, maybe this band is way bigger than I realize. It makes sense. They are playing Madison Square Garden, a bunch of teenagers are in love with them, but until you see possibly the longest line of 13-year-old girls you've ever seen all covered in merch, you never honestly believe it. As I walk with the crowd, Laila to my right, I see everyone go towards MSG to line up outside the venue. All of a sudden, I felt a tug on my arm, and Laila whispered, "C'mon, C'mon Kir let's go."
