"Do you just not take cars or taxis or whatever?" Daniel asks as we stand through the subway. All of the boys stand holding the railings while both Emerson and I sit right in front of them. "I swear, we met you on the subway. Y'alls date was on the subway." He says, wiggling his fingers between Zach and me.

Before he can finish, Emerson cuts him off in true Emerson fashion. "Did you just say y'alls?" Her eyes widen, amusement in them. She lets out a small, breathy laugh, leaving her mouth open.

"God damnit, I hang out around Kir too much." He says, pinching the bridge of his nose.

I reach out and squeeze the hand he isn't holding the railing with, "Awh, I love you too, Dan."

"But back to what Daniel said, why didn't we just take a taxi?" Jonah asks

"Oh here we go." Emerson pouts, placing her head in her palm.

"Well, I love the train. It also helps all of our carbon footprints." I say, gesturing to the whole group, getting a small groan from Jack. "Plus, you're in the city, most well known for its subway system and you're not going to take it. That's like not taking the tube."

"I knew carbon footprint was going to be brought up." Jack says.

"Okay, it's not my fault you literally leave the lights on OVERNIGHT." I say, defending myself jokily. "Yours isn't even a footprint anymore, it's just a huge blob of carbon."

"Can we talk about how we didn't even get an I miss you?" Corbyn asks.

"Dude, we were gone for approximately 5 days." Emerson replies.

"For the past two months, we've all been practically living together." Corbyn says.

"We literally live together." Jonah says, confused.

"Not the point, I mean that if we don't see each other after 60 days. You tend to miss people..." He drags out.

I slightly cave, "I guess I might have missed you." I mumble.

"Oh what was that?" Zach says, cupping his ear.

"I might have MAYBE missed you." I say again, only slightly louder.

"Oh but unfortunately, we could not hear you. Come again?" Jack says, joining in.

"Oh now y'all are milking it." I say, all of us starting to laugh.

"I miss you guys." Emerson finally admits.

"There we go. Now see, it isn't so hard." Daniel says, laying out his arms.

"So what do you want to do?" Emerson says, spinning in the hotel room chair.

We are all in Jack and Zach's room, trying to figure out what to do. Jack, Jonah, and I are sitting on the bed. I decided to paint Jack's nails, so we sit criss-cross applesauce, his hand resting on my knee. Daniel is on the floor leaning against the bedside table while Corbyn is laid out. We realized that we didn't come out with a plan for what to do with the boys. They decided to come so last minute that we didn't have time.

"Well clearly Zach knew what to do." Corbyn says, pointing to Zach. He's splayed out on the other bed, dead asleep. Every so often, he'll softly snore, interrupting us.

"It was a 6 hour flight. Are you sure you don't want to nap?" I say to the group, going back to Jack's nails. "Is that pretty enough?" I look up at him after painting hearts on his ring fingers.
