*This chapter uses Miley Cyrus' cover of "Zombie" by the Cranberries:)*

I laid in bed, wide awake. My mind replaying the scene of Luke and Julie in the kitchen, just smiling at each other. There must be something wrong with me to even start having tiny feelings towards the ghost. He makes me feel secured. Something that I haven't felt since my brother. My brother was constantly there for me. Making sure I never dated the wrong guys, although he scared most of them away. Even when Danny and I started dating, Nate didn't like the idea but came around a couple weeks later. Nate would've liked Luke.

Luke. What is he doing to me? My life is already so messed up and to top it off I like a ghost. Fuck. I'm such a screw up. There's no way in hell he would even like me and even he did, it would never work out. It'll just end up with me being heartbroken, a ghostly heartbreak.

Throwing the covers off my body, I walked to my desk. I decided to write a song that reflects how I feel deep inside, so I can sing it tomorrow for the spirit assembly since Mrs. Harrison personally asked me to. My nerves were all over the place at the thought of me performing. It would be the first time that I'd perform alone without Nate. I just hope that I can make it proud where ever he is, if he's even watching me that is.

All my anger, sadness, and fear that I hold within I put into this song. I write it in the style that my brother adored and wanting TwinNado to be, a rock bad. TwinNado. A smile crept on my face at the name that my brother wanted to give our band. He began to make designs for t-shirts and sweatshirts with the name on it that we were supposed to give out at our sixteenth birthday party.

Every memory that popped into my head about my family, just simply made me feel numb, like a Zombie.

*NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL*

I was at my locker, putting in all my books and grabbed my duffel bag with my change of clothes to perform, when arms snaked around my waist. Instantly, my body tensed as I glanced over my shoulder. There stood Danny, with a smug smirk on his face. "Hey baby," he turned me in his arms so I could face him, "Excited?"

He saw worry in my eyes, "You're gonna be great. You always do great."

I bit the inside of my cheek, "It's the first time without him Danny. What if I choke?"

"I know you're not. He's gonna be proud of you. Do it for Nate," he intertwined his hands with mine and leaned in. Before he could kiss me on my lips, I turned my head so he could kiss my cheek instead. Danny furrowed his brows and opened his mouth to speak before I spoke first, not wanting to discuss what just happened

"You're ri-" I was cut off.

"Who's this sissy?" My eyes widen as I see Luke poof behind Danny. I felt my pulse quicken at the sight of Luke. It hasn't ever done that before with Danny.

Danny noticed my sudden change in demeanor, "Are you okay? You look like you saw a ghost?"

Ripping my eyes off the attractive ghost, "You have no idea," I said through gritted teeth.

"O-Okay. Do you might want to go out after school," Danny asked.

Luke scoffed, "I don't think so. Novs you're not going."

"Shut up," I snapped at Luke.

"What," a shocked Danny asked.

I shook my head, "No I didn't mean you. J-just never mind. Yes, I'd like to Danny. I gotta go change so I'll see you later," I glared at Luke, while I walked away, who was making a vomiting expression.
