That night, I went up to the rooftop of the garage, the sun was about to come up. My mind has been all over the place for the past week. The death of my grandma, worrying about Luke, and then getting into a fight with Luke. Last but not least, being told that soon the guys might disappear, either being destroyed by some evil ghosts or crossing over.
The thought of not having the guys with me scares me because I've grown so close to them. Alex and Reggie seem like older brothers with me, especially Alex, while Reggie always makes me laugh. Luke on the other hand, he... he has the power to either make my day, or be the reason why it's crappy. I can't imagine my life without them.
I heard the sound of one of the guys poofing next to me, but I didn't have to turn my head t see who it was. "Luke, I just want to be left alone right now," my voice wavered.
"I'm not leaving. I promised you that I'd stay by your side Nova," Luke sat next to me, legs dangling over the edge.
I shook my head, "But you are leaving."
Luke sighed heavily as he raised one leg and lazily placed an arm on it, "We don't have choice. We either finish our unfinished business and cross over, hopefully finding peace, or being in a band for eternity."
"I know," I trailed off. I pulled the sleeves of my sweatshirt and covered my hands, "I just... I just don't want you guys to leave me. For you to leave me Luke... but I get it. I really do and... I want to help you guys. I'm just scared though. You know? I'm gonna be left alone again by people I've grown to love."
Luke scanned over me, "If we do end up crossing over, I want you to know that we'll be watching of you girls, Julie and you. I will be watching over you. We all want to see where you go in the future."
I let out a small chuckle, "I wish you could stay though."
"I wish I could too," he said softly, but raspy. Butterflies flew in my stomach at the sound of his voice.
"Promise me something though," I met his eyes.
He nodded as his eyes shifted down to my lips, "Anything."
"If you do cross, and if you find my family... tell them I miss them and that," I paused to calm myself down as tears formed, "that... I'll be okay."
"I promise you I will tell them for you."
"Thank you," I stood up, "I'm gonna head inside. Goodnight Luke."
Luke glanced down at my lips again as he pushed himself up, and leaned in. I turned my head away from him, not wanting to further my feelings anymore for him as he already told me that we couldn't ever happen.
"Uh- yeah. Goodnight Nova," he said as he took a step back, hands shoved in his jean pockets. "Wait!"
I spun around as he called out for me, "Yeah?"
