    October 15th.
    A shrill shriek sounds in Lily, Dorcas, and Marlene's dorm as a certain blonde looks at her watch.
    "Lily Jean Evans!" Annalee exclaims. "It's only an hour and I'm still not ready!"
    Lily wrinkles her nose, "My middle name isn't Jean."
    "That's not the point!" Marlene and Annalee say sharply.
    Anna adds, "Lily, I'm clueless about this stuff, I need help."
    "Well I'm not sure if I have anything for you, either. Ask Marlene!" Lily says indignantly.
    "Marlene's outfits are a little much for a first date, and for me in general," Anna protests.
    Marlene throws a shirt at Anna's face as she plops down on the bed. 
    "Rude!" Marlene says indignantly.
    Anna retorts playfully, "It's not that I don't like them, it's just that they're not very me."
    "Well I think Sirius would like you in a tiny red dress," Lily says absentmindedly.
    Anna rolls her eyes, "Good thing I'm not dressing to please someone else."
    "Aaaand we're back to square one," Marlene announces.
    "Oooh, what about this one?" Lily suggests.

    "Love!" Anna says eagerly. "Gimme."
    Lily hands it to her and Anna changes in the closet.
    When Anna emerges, Lily gasps and Marlene claps her hands excitedly. 
    "I love it!" Marlene cheers. "Wait! I have a white bow, put it in your hair."
    Annalee nods and takes it from Marlene. She does a little twirl.
    "Lily?" Anna asks hopefully. "Thoughts?"
    "You look gorgeous in it. Not that you don't always, but right now especially so," Lily declares.
    Annalee tries to suppress the smile that rises to her face.
    "You think?" Anna asks.
    "Yes," Marlene and Lily say at the same time.
    Anna smiles fully, "Good."
    She looks in the mirror, running a hand down her body. Her image has always been hard for her. Her parents constant demeaning had taken their toll.
    "Annalee?" Marlene prods. "Are you okay?"
    Annalee snaps out of the daze, "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking. I'm going to go back down to the dungeons. See you guys tonight, alright?"
    "Oh, uh, okay," Lily says nervously.
    Anna changes back into her normal clothes and makes her way back down the stairs, still a little down.
