February 20th.
Almost a month had past since Annalee got her memories back, and Sirius is flirting with a new girl almost every day.
"It's cruel!" Lily vents. "He's just a useless womanizer with no consideration for the girls he's on. It just matters whether or not they're a good snog."
"Totally," Marlene agrees. "Half of them aren't even from his stupid fan club. Somebody needs to get him under control. What do you think, Annie?"
Annalee looks up from her schoolwork, "Um, whatever you think?"
"You could at least pretend like you're paying attention," Lily deadpans. "This is your ex, after all. We're meddling, and this time it's to get revenge."
"Just talk to James. He doesn't like sitting with new people - most of which he isn't particularly fond of - almost every day," Anna advises.
Lily considers this, "Huh."
"Off we go!" Marlene smirks, looping her arm through Lily's.
The two skip away.
"Oh, Pooootterrrr," Lily sings as she levitates up to their dorm.
"Hey, Evans. Marlene," James nods to each of them respectively.
Marlene grins, "So how are you feeling about Sirius' current dating situation?"
"If you could call it that," James mumbles.
Lily and Marlene exchange triumphant glances.
"Good. Are you going to do anything about it?" Marlene challenges.
"What would I possibly do?" James snaps. "He comes in at odd hours of the night, so we don't get any sleep. He's either attached by the face to some girl, or in the process of doing so. Therefore, I repeat: What would I possibly do?"
"We could confront him," Marlene suggests.
"Guilt him," Lily adds.
"Leave him in a ditch?" Marlene continues.
"Strand him in the Forbidden-" Lily starts.
"I've got it!" James interrupts. "And point taken. I think you're right. We should trap him and Anna in a broom closet for twelve hours until they make up."
Marlene and Lily smile in unison.
"Perfect," Lily smirks.
Ten hours later, Annalee and Sirius have been trapped in a broom closet by Lily, James, and Marlene.
"Why are we here?" Sirius snaps.
Anna speculates this, a cruel smile painting her features, "It seems that you've been jumping from girl to girl too quickly for our friend's tastes."
"Well you don't seem that effected," he scoffs.
She lets the smile turn into a cool smirk, "Do you want me to be?"
"I don't know!" Sirius glares. "At the very least, you could act like you care! You're just apathetic."
The smile drips off of her face.
"What do you want me to say? That each time I see you with another girl I think that bloody well should've been me? But no, I messed up. Do you want me to say that I feel like a bloody psychopath because I don't even care and I don't live with any regrets? Because I could. And I wouldn't be lying. Don't talk to me about apathetic, Black," Annalee scoffs, though her face is as emotionless and stoic as ever. "I know who I am, and it's not always pretty."
