"Oh, shit" T'rialow whispered, hearing the sound of the Imperial Walker get closer, as the smell of burnt flesh and musk was wifting through the air,"Get ready!"
Through the trees, she could make out the blaster shots, as silhouettes of Cara Dune and Mando manuevered through the trees in the dark. She felt the hairs on the back of her neck slowly rise as it got closer, her hand clenching the lightsaber hilt by her side. She wondered, what would Obi-Wan Kenobi do? Or, the one who was to be her master, Lorave.
They would've been braver than she was right then, thats for sure, they wouldn't have cowered at the sight of this imperial walker. She imagined that they probably knocked those metal walkers off their feet in two seconds flat. Taking in a deep breath, she let it go, and for a second... The wind made her feel as if a Lothol wolf was standing behind her.
She would fight with the creatures strength on her side.
Suddenly pushing her arm up into the sky, she clenched her hand into a fist, signalling silence. Of course, it was hard for her to tell if they heeded her message, for she could hear their hearts beating loudly in her ears. It was like a cacophony of nervous beats creating a reckoning tune.
Lowering her hand, she didn't spare a glance to Mando and Cara, as they slid down beside Omera. Although, she bit her lip when she heard Mandos heart beat, it had a spasm, going between calm to anxious fear. He practically ordered her to be by Omeras side, he was probably pissed that she wasn't.
But, T'rialow knew well that the woman could hold her ground, the others needed a feral mongrel by their side.
"This is it!" Caras voice carried down the trench,"Once that thing steps into the pong, it's goin' down!"
The trees separated, as two beady red eyes seemed to tear through the beautiful, bleak night. Looking to the stars above, T'rialow remembered the night before. His helmet, laid by her side, in hopes that the act would mend the bound broken between the two fragile warriors.
"Weapons ready!" Caras voice ushered through the silence, causing T'rialow to hear the sound of multiple clicks by her side.
Grasping nothing but two long knives in her hands, she knew she'd need nothing else. The force was with her tonight, she could feel it travelling through her veins like an adrenaline drug. Feeling the wind tickle her face, she closed her eyes and imagined Loraves Lothol wolf standing behind her in the dark.
Flinching at the snarling, robotic sound that churned from the imperial walkers engines, T'rialow felt her legs lock in place and fear widen her eyes. She wanted to run, just like she had done so long ago, and let the cries of these people rattle in her mind like her parents war cries.
She wanted someone's hand to hold, but looking to her side, she saw no one had placed themselves directly beside her. How stupid she had been, now she was alone, far from those who had actually seemed to care about her. Looking down the front, she saw Omera staring down the imperial walker with her shotgun.
If only she were that brave.
Bristling her body, she felt the fear escape her in agonising tremors. How had fear come to be such a close companion throughout her life?
Just as the imperial walker was about to step forth into the deep pool created to be its watery grave, it stopped, its red eyes serving the area around it. There they laid, just beneath its sight, but not too far from the barrels of its gun attached to the underside of the cockpit. Clenching her knives, she waited for the soft click of a button.
Suddenly, a spotlight was shon in T'rialows eyes, causing temporary blindness to fade upon her fire blazing eyes. Letting her knees fall to the ground, to hide behind the barrier, she rubbed the palms of her paws to her eyes in aggravation. Now, her sight was filled with random circles that shifted different shades of purple and blue in the darkness.
