It was another cold night in November and Y/N was once again by herself. She ended up leaving Dabi's place right after the encounter with Hawks, so now she was on the streets of downtown Musutafu. The streets were mostly deserted and quiet, boring in other words. The last thing Y/N needed was for her thoughts to be loud enough for her to hear, she needed a distraction from her reality for just a bit. It's only been two days since she last saw Hawks but the conversation keeps playing in her head over and over.

Y/N dug her hands in the pocket of the leather jacket she wore, her worn-out boots dragging on the cold concrete. The downtown streets did seem mostly dead, but if you knew where to go, a world of flashing lights and pounding music awaits you. Y/N made a turn into an alley, walking up to a seemingly abandoned house, and knocked 7 times. She waited for the door to open and she was then met with a puff of smoke to her face.

"Jesus, can you watch it?" she coughed out with a scrunched face, wafting away the air.
"What can I help you with?" a middle-aged woman asked in a monotone voice, eyes hazy and bloodshot.
"I don't believe in heroes." Y/N sighed out as she tapped her foot impatiently. The older women hummed and opened the door wider for Y/N to go through.
"Trapdoor in the last room at the end of the hall."
"Yeah yeah, I know."

Y/N walked through the dark house and made it to the trapdoor. She heaved it open and a blast of music and colorful lights attacked her. She chuckled to herself as she jumped down, the trapdoor slamming shut.

She was met with an underground rave packed with the most oddly looking people you can find. It was a big space, enough for pool tables, a bar, a stage that had strippers, and random barrels of alcohol scattered here and there. The walls were splattered in neon colors and the ceiling was broken glass that reflected all the different colored lights that flashed. Speakers were hung all around as music ruptured and made the whole place vibrate. Y/N walked through the hazy cloud of weed that filled the entire place, the revolting smell burning her nostrils as she inhaled them. People wore ripped clothing or barely any clothing at all. They had painted faces and glitter all over their skin.

It was chaotic, it was a disgrace, but in Y/N's eyes, it was beautiful. No one judges, no one cares. They've all left behind their insecurities and partied in the gleaming lights. All the misfits and broken people found somewhere they belonged, a place where there weren't any standards for them to meet.

Y/N made her way to the bar and leaned on the counter.
"Can I have that one?" she asked with a raised voice so the bartender could hear her. He nodded as he reached a bottle on the high shelf. Instead of giving her a glass or a shot, he handed over the whole thing. Y/N took it gratefully and popped it open. This drink can't be found at a fancy restaurant or stores, instead, it's only in a place where not even the heroes can get their hands on it. It's illegally made to be stronger than all other alcohols combined, something that can actually work on Y/N.

Y/N took a sip and almost spit it out, the liquid set her throat on fire as she drank it. She closed the bottle and made her way through the sweaty crowd and sat at a table. A loud sigh left her as she slumped in the seat letting herself fade out.

She found it kind of funny as she compared the hero's bar Hawks had taken her to and this one. The heros' bar was fancy and sophisticated, the people wearing expensive clothes and drinking top shelf drinks. Nut here it was completely different, only the crazy and the damned seemed to be here. This is what she was used to, this is what she can handle.

Y/N had a few more sips and already felt lightheaded. She had barely noticed that somebody had sat next to her.
"You're Y/N Lynn aren't you?" a young woman asked with a sly look. Y/N squinted at her, she was wearing a black stripper outfit with fishnets, her hair raven black and up to her shoulders. Her skin was pale and her eyes were bright pink, lips painted red.
"Maybe." Y/N shrugged as she took another swig of her drink.
"You know you like a legend right?" the girl pushed as she got closer. Y/N tilted her head at the comment.
"Really?"
"Yeah, not only did you climb to the highest rank in White Rose but you turned on them and started working with the heroes. All people talk about is that big fight that's gonna happen. The only reason people haven't recognized you is cuz they're either drunk or on drugs."
Y/N chuckled as she put her feet up on the table and leaned back.
"So what do you want? An autograph or something?" Y/N joked, but the girl had stars in her eyes as she pulled a marker out of nowhere.
"Can you sign my book?"
Y/N gave her a weird look as she took the marker and signed the cover of a book she had. The girl looked like she was going to explode from happiness, stars and hearts practically radiating from her.
"I'm Allura by the way." the girl added as she tried to mask her excitement.
"Tell me Allura, what's a young girl like you doing in a stripper outfit here?" Y/N asked as she leaned her head back and looked at Allura.
"College isn't cheap ya know, and I'm already 20," she explained with her face red in slight embarrassment.
"What are you studying in college?"
"Psychology."
Y/N hummed as she drank some more and then offered some to Allura.
"Want some? I mean since your age and all."
Allura nodded as she took a chug and her face scrunched up at the burning sensation. She coughed and gave ut back, eyes teary. Y/N laughed as she took it back.
