If I Still Had The Chance

I was wearing a fancy dress. I was in a room that was in Christmas decor. Christmas used to be my favorite holiday.
I was alone again, standing in front of a beautiful Christmas tree. There were presents surrounding it on the floor. I picked a pretty red one with a black bow wrapped around it. It was a medium sized box, I shake it a little to try and found out what was in it.

"N/N, what have we told you about opening presents before Christmas?"

I turn around to see my parents looking at me. They were also in fancy attire. My mom laughed as she walked to me. She stood in front of me as she removed the box from my hands.

"You have to wait so we can open in together silly." she giggled as she placed the box on a table. My dad walked to us with a smile.

"We still have to wait for everybody to come." he told me.

"Sorry, I forgot." I said in a small voice with my head down. They just laughed as they hugged me. It felt so warm. I felt so happy. I smile and cry as I hug them back.

I heard a door open. I look to see it was Hawks and Mizuki. They both walked to us with smiles and trays of hot chocolate and cookies. I grinned as I took a cup of hot chocolate as I drank it, burning my tongue. I whimper as I feel my eyes water.

"N/N, you know you have too wait for it to cool down." my mom told me as she cupped my face and wiped my tears.

"I know, but it's taste so good."

They all laughed at my childish behavior.

"Let's open the presents already!" Mizuki chimed as she sat down on the couch. They all agreed and all sat down. My parents sat in a love seat while I sat with Hawks on the floor near the tree. We all passed presents around to open.

Hawks had a small box in his hand that he gave to me.

"Here, open this."

I look at the box, it was red with a gold ribbon. I smiled as I open in. It was a silver necklace with a heart hanging from it. I noticed the heart could be opened. I check to what was in inside. It was a picture of the two of us.

"It's when we got married." he smiled as he took it to put on me. I blush as he looked at me. He cupped my face as he leaned in and left a kiss on my lips. My body drowned in his warm touch. He pulled away with a laugh as he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Awww." my parents and Mizuki said at the same time. We just laughed at them.
Soon we all got up to take a picture. Mizuki set up her phone on a timer. We all got in our places as the camera clicked. Mizuki got her phone and smiled at the picture.

"Look!" she said as she gave the phone to me. Hawks and I were in the middle with my parents on either side of us, and Mizuki was in between us. We had bright smiles.

"Babe, you forgot to open this one." Hawks told me as he handed me the present that my mom had taken from me. I open it with an excited smile.

What is this?

I slowly pull out a gun from the box. I turn around to ask them who would give this to me, but something was wrong.

My parents lay dead on the floor. Blood pooling around them. I can see my younger self trying to wake them up.

"The heroes didn't save you." a dark voice echoed around me. I spin around to see Hawks.

"He didn't save you." the same voice seemed to scream in my head.
