Second Chance

Hawks was walking up the stairs to the apartment. They agreed that they would try to reunite Y/N and her brother, but Hawks needed to talk to her first. He's not sure what her view on family really is. He walks into the apartment to find Mizuki and Y/N fighting. Y/N was on her back while Mizuki was on top of her. They both had each others hair in their hands as they pulled and yanked.

"YOU BRAT! NEXT TIME YOU MAKE FUN OF ME I'LL THROW YOU OFF THE ROOF!"

"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?! I JUST FIGURED YOU WEREN'T ONE!"

"WHO THE HELL WOULD I HAVE DON'T IT WITH?"

"I DON'T KNOW?! YOU'RE TWENTY TWO, I JUST THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE IT ALREADY!"

Y/N rolled the both of them over so she was on top. She strangled Mizuki as she cursed at her while the red head gave up and awaited for her death.

Hawks sighed at the scene as he sent his feathers too break them apart.
"Why are you guys fighting for now?" he asked as he walked to the two girls who were sweating and panting, Y/N shooting a glare at Mizuki.
"Nothing." Mizuki muttered as she glared back at Y/N. Hawks ruffled the red head's hair.
"Why don't you hang with the chief today, I need to talk to Y/N about something."
Y/N quirked an eyebrow while Mizuki nodded and headed to the door. Before she closed the door behind her, she told something to Hawks.

"By the way, Y/N's still a virgin." she said as she slammed the door and ran down the stairs before Y/N kills her.

Y/N eyes were wide as her face exploded in red. Hawks looked at her and started to laugh.
"You're a virgin?" he asked playfully as he walked to her and held her waist. Y/N didn't know what to say as embarrassment filled her. She tried to walk away, but Hawks held onto her.
"I-I'm only twenty two." she stuttered out as she covered her face with her hands. Hawks chuckled as he pulled her closer to him. He gently moved her hands from her face as he smirked at her. He leaned in close to her ear, his breath leaving goosebumps on her skin.
"We'll get back to this conversation later tonight." he whispered in a husky voice as he left a burning kiss under her ear. Y/N could feel her face steaming as Hawks just laughed.
"But there is something I need to talk about with you." he told her in a more serious tone. Y/N pulled herself together as she eyed the man before her. He grabbed her hand to sit at the table. They both sat down as Y/N waited for him to talk.

"About your dad-"

As soon as that word left his mouth, Y/N snapped. Why was he bringing her father up? He's dead. She felt her walls going back, the ones she built so tall and wide. The ones no one could get through. The ones Hawks was slowly tearing down.

"Why the hell do you want to talk about my dad for? He's dead. There's no reason for you to bring him up." Y/N cut him off in a cold tone as she stood up from her seat.
"Wait Y/N, let me finish." Hawks said as he grabbed her wrist. She turned around with a glare.
"What the hell are you trying to do? I don't want to talk about my dad. Just because we have a thing going on with us, doesn't mean you need to know about my life. I don't want to hear what you have to say." she spat at him as she yanked her hand away and walked away to her room. Hawks was a little hurt from her words, he thought they had way more than a "thing" going on between them, but he knew those were only words of anger.

"You have a brother, Y/N." he told her, might as well just get straight to the point. Y/N stopped in her tracks as she slowly turned to look at Hawks.
"What the fuck are you talking about. I didn't have any siblings." she said as she waited Hawks to say something.
"You're dad had a son before he met your mom."

Y/N didn't know how to process this new information. A brother? She always figured she was an only child. She never once thought about her parents and their past relationships.
