10. Apa Kabar?

Hi,

It's been a LONG time, i know. I'm really sorry for the really long inactive, it's almost 2 years for me, didn't take a look at this book. Whew... again, i'm sorry. I've been through an up and down of life for the first time these past 2 years. My last teen year and my firts 20s has been SO CRAZY, so many laugh and tears. I learned a LOT also it was SO exhausting. But yeah, i'm still alive and talk to you here. hehehe :)

So! How are you guys?

Just like the title of this chapter 'Apa kabar?' means 'How are you?' this time i want to share how to ask how's people doing.

• Here's some types of terms for this topic :

1. Apa kabar? = How are you?

2. Aku baik. Kamu? = I'm good. And you?

3. Kamu gimana? = How about you?

4. Sudah lama ya = It's been a long time

5. Kamu kelihatan lebih bahagia sekarang = You look happier now

6. Kamu kelihatan sedih = You look sad

7. Ada apa? = What happened?

8. Ibumu apa kabar? = How's your mom doing?

9. Gimana sekolahmu? = How's  your school?

10. Kamu masih suka koleksi washitape? = Are you still like collecting washitape?

11. Kenapa? = Why?

12. Aku cukup sibuk belakangan = I kinda busy lately

13. Iya aku masih suka = Yes i still like it

FYI: "I'm good" in Indonesia also can be meant as "Aku sehat" which means healthy. It shows that you're  in a good condition.

• Now let's get to some examples :

1. Alaska has been inactive in wattpad for 2 years because she feels hard to manage her time. It's  exhausting for her. Now she's want to communicate with you and ask how's you doing.

Alaska : Hai! Sudah lama ya, kamu apa kabar?
You : Hai Alaska! Aku baik, kamu?
Alaska : Aku baik. 2 tahun terakhir lumayan melelahkan.
You : Kenapa?
Alaska : Aku lumayan sibuk dan kesulitan mengatur waktuku.

2. After graduate from high school Alaska moved to Semarang for college. Every holiday she's going back to Karawang to her family. She's so happy and ask how's Bunda doing.

Alaska : Assalamualaikum. Bunda! Apa kabar? Sehat bun?
Bunda : Anak bunda sudah besar. Bunda sehat nak. Kamu gimana?
Alaska : Aku sehat bunda!

3. In her holiday semester Alaska go to mall with her friends and unexpectedly meet her high school teacher. She decided to greet her teacher.

Alaska : Assalamualaikum ibu, ini Alaska. Apa kabar ibu?
Teacher : Waalaikumsalam Alaska. Ibu baik, kamu gimana?
Alaska : Alhamdulillah bu, baik.

• Okay, after learn of some examples now i have a practice for you! I'll give you the situation and you'll make the conversation by yourself.

1. Ana and Rima has been graduate from college. Now they're working in the different company. A year later they're decide to meet and go out together.

2. You and your family are visiting your grandma in holiday, you ask how's your grandma doing.
