5. Bahasa Indonesia's Pattern Sentence

Hi,

Okay, now after you know huruf abjad bahasa Indonesia and how to pronouce it, i hope you guys have some practice to reading as much as you can Indonesian literature. Because it will make you easier to learn the language.

Before we get started with the pattern sentence, i'll tell you the elements of indonesian sentences (the pattern sentence)!

1. Subjek [S] (Subject)
• Aku cinta kamu (I love you)

2. Predikat [P] (Predicate/Verb)
• Dia makan roti (He eats bread)

3. Objek [O] (Object/noun)
• Dia menyapu lantai setiap hari (She sweeps the floor everyday)

4. Pelengkap [Pel] (Complementary)
• Andi mengatakan bahwa baju itu miliknya (Andi says that the clothes are his)

5. Keterangan [K] (Information)*
• Ibu membeli sayur di pasar (Mother buys vegetables in the market)

*keterangan (information) can tell about time, place, or cause

OKAY, now i'll tell you indonesian pattern sentence. Let's get started!

1. S-P
• Ayah bekerja (Father is working)
S = Ayah (Father)
P = Bekerja (Working)

2. S-P-O
• Ibu memasak nasi (Mother is cooking rice)
S = Ibu (Mother)
P = Memasak (Cooking)
O = Nasi (Rice]

3. S-P-Pel
• Langit malam ini bertaburan bintang-bintang (The sky tonight was covered with the stars)
S = Langit (Sky)
P = Bertaburan (Covered)
Pel = Bintang-bintang (Stars)

4. S-P-K
• Anak-anak bermain di lapangan (The kids are playing in the field)
S = Anak-anak (Kids)
P = Bermain (Playing)
K = Di lapangan (In the field)

5. S-P-O-K
• Para petani menanam padi di pagi hari ( The farmers planting rice in the morning)
S = Para petani (The farmers)
P = Menanam (Planting)
O = Padi (Rice)
K = Di pagi hari (In the morning)

6. S-P-O-Pel
• Ibu membelikan Andi pakaian baru (Mom bought Andi new clothes)
S = Ibu (Mother)
P = Membelikan (Bought)
O = Andi (person's name)
Pel = Pakaian baru (New clothes)

7. S-P-Pel-K
• Tubuhnya berlumuran keringat karena bekerja seharian (His body was covered in sweat from working all day)
S = Tubuhnya (His body)
P = Berlumuran (covered)
Pel = Keringat (Sweat)
K = Karena bekerja seharian (from working all day)

8. S-P-O-Pel-K
• Ibu membelikan Andi sepatu baru pada hari minggu kemarin (Mother bought Andi new shoes on Sunday)
S = Ibu (Mother)
P = Membelikan (Bought)
O = Andi (person's name)
Pel = Sepatu baru (New shoes)
K = Pada hari minggu (On sunday)
