Same as how to say "I", in this lesson i'll tell you how to say "You" in Bahasa Indonesia, in formal, informal and very-informal(slang) way. And of course, how and when to use it. So let's get started!

Formal:
You can say Anda

Anda--> is a very formal way to say you. It's normally used by colleague or people in government.

Informal/semi-formal:
You can use Kamu

Kamu--> I have to say that 'Kamu' can be formal and also informal, because it can be use with both, Aku or Saya.

• Aku --> Aku and Kamu. This term is use for daily informal. As i said in the previous chapter it can be use in the situations:
1. Kids to their friends
2. Children and Teens to their parents
3. People in the same age
4. People in a relationship

• Saya --> Saya and Kamu. For this one, is use in daily formal. But the atmosphere is really different when you said 'Saya and Anda'. Saya and Kamu can be use with your family, older people you already know or you just met, or your friends at works. This term give the formal polite vibes but also show that the speaker are still know each other well. (As i said) Really different vibes with 'Saya and Anda'.

Slang:

1. Lu [same pronounce as 'moo' but change the M with L]
2. U (for text) [same pronounce as 'You']

And yeah, the last one, the slang way is used by teens to their friends, it's same as how to use 'Gua/Gue'.

Here is the pair of I and You:

• Saya + Anda (very formal)
• Aku + Kamu (For daily informal)
• Saya + Kamu. (For daily formal)
• Gua/Gue + Lu (Slang way and normally used by teens)

I hope you understand and learn something new. Goodluck! Click the star and Comment also share!!!! <3
