Apa kabar semuanya? :) I'm doing well here. I visited my friend last sunday. We were doing a photoshoot at home! I'm getting more busy day by day but i'm enjoy it and i'm happy. Now please tell me your story in the comment section, i wanna hear!
Back to the topic, in this chapter we will learn how to introducing ourselves in Bahasa Indonesia.
In Indonesia, while introducing ourselves we usually mention our name, age, school and address (sometimes). I have some introduction sentences bellow, let's read it together!
1. Siapa nama kamu? = What's your name?
2. Namaaku Alaska = My name is Alaska
3. Aku alaska = I'm Alaska
4. Namakamu? This term used if you want to ask back peoples name. It can be "And you?" or "What's yours (refers to the name)?" I'll explain more in another chapter later.
5. Berapaumurkamu? = How old are you?
6. Aku 20 tahun= I'm 20 years old
7. Aku 20 = I'm 20
8. Di mana kamutinggal?= Where do you live?
9. Aku tinggal di ... = I live at ...
10. Kamuberasal dari mana? = Where do you came from?
11. Aku dari ... = I'm from ...
12. Kamusekolahdi mana? = Where do you study?
13. Kamukelasberapa? = What grade are you?
14. Di mana alamatkamu? = Where your adress is?
15. Senangberkenalan denganmu = Glad to know you
16. Senangbertemu denganmu = Nice to meet you
Okay, now let's get to the conversation!
Alaska : Hai Tifa : Halo, nama aku Tifa, nama kamu? Alaska : Aku Alaska. Kamu sekolah di mana? Tifa : Di SD Anggadita 1 Alaska : Oh, aku tahu itu (Oh i know that(refers to the school)) Tifa : Kamu? Alaska : Aku sekolah di SD Nagasari 1 Tifa : Oh.. iya. Senang berkenalan denganmu.
That's how we introducing ourselves to people we just met, maybe a new friend. BUT it's important to know, that's the informal way but it doesn't really sounds natural to speak like that in daily (eventhough it's still fine). We often make an adjustment with the situation so it will sounds natural but still respectful.
(My friend even said "Siapa nama kamu?" is weird, and so do i lmao. "Weird" in Bahasa is "Aneh" anyways, it's the one on the bottom bubble chat.)

Me "Siapa nama kamu?" What is the pattern sentences for it?
Her Huh? "Nama kamu siapa?" (she moved the words position)
Me No. "Siapa nama kamu?" The pattern
Her "Siapa namamu" (she's abstracting the word) "Siapa nama kamu" is freaking weird.
YEAH, that's reality. lol. As i said before in the chapter 3 when i told about Bahasa Indonesia in my opinion.
"...Because we (Indonesian) can always speak without the rules of sentence patterns as long as people still understand the sentences, understand what we said, and the sentences is not make people confused."
And also as you can see at the screenshot chat with my friend, we can move the words into the front of the sentences or even in the end of it. For example :
Siapanamakamu? can be write as Namakamusiapa?
Di mana alamatkamu? can be write as Alamatkamudi mana?
Berapaumurkamu? can be write as Kamuumurberapa?
Kamukelasberapa? can be write as Kelasberapakamu?
etc.
If you want to talk in the formal way just change 'Aku' with 'Saya'.
Now, i'll show you the more natural version of the conversation above:
Alaska : Hai Tifa : Halo, aku Tifa, kamu siapa? Alaska : Aku Alaska. Kamu sekolah di mana? Tifa : Di SD Anggadita 1 Alaska : Oh, aku tahu itu. Tifa : Kamu? Alaska : Aku di SD Nagasari 1 Tifa : Oh.. iya hehe :)
You might think, there's a little difference, but trust me the vibes for the native is so different. This one is more comfy to say.
