A/N: Here's to the start of Volume 5 of RT, everyone! I can't believe that it's been two years since I've started this and only now has it reached halfway through the entire RWBY series(Volume 8 chapter 9 as of writing this). Anywho's, don't want to drag this too long since this chapter is quite long. On with the chapter~!

Flying across an enormous lake within an Atlesian airship, Weiss got up to the pilot deck and leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.

"So, how much farther?" She asked.

"We're in the home stretch now." The pilot responded. "No more stops from here to Mistral. Sorry for the long trip. Keeping us off the radar's been harder than I thought. Lots of air traffic around northern Anima."

"It's fine." Weiss got out. "I... just hope we haven't been a burden."

"You, your friends and your money are more than welcome on this ship, kid." The pilot chuckled before his attention changed to the radio as it picked up a transmission. "What the...?"

"Is everything okay?"

"I don't know. We're still over Lake Matsu." He stated, adjusting a slider. "Shouldn't be picking up broadcasts this far from Mistral. Someone must be close."

"Mayday, mayday! We are a small passenger flight, and our Huntress is down! We aren't equipped to deal with this!"

"Oh man..." The pilot got out worriedly.

"The Grimm hit us 400 klicks north of the southern shoreline!"

Weiss' eyes widened as she listened intently when an explosion sounded from the transmission. Licht quickly came into the pilot deck, his large hat nearly falling off as he looked in.

"What was that?!" He exclaimed. "Did something happen?!"

"Get them off us! If anyone can hear this-- Ah!"

The pilot turned off the radio and turned the ship to a different direction. Weiss was concerned about the other pilot that requested for help and the passengers on board. She walked up to the pilot and grabbed onto a handle in the ceiling.

"We're going to help them, right?" She questioned.

"What? No. I'm trying to avoid them." The pilot got out.

"Are you kidding?! They'll die at this rate!" Licht exclaimed "We got to help them!"

"Look, if we picked up their transmission, I'm sure someone else did, too." He stated. "Besides, this is a cargo ship. She's not much good in a fight. I just wanna finish this job and get home. Sorry, kid. My ship, my rules."

"But..."

"We can't save everyone..." Callum spoke, surprising everyone, including the pilot.

"Callum?! Could you please stop doing that?" Licht asked.

"Sorry. But, remember what we're here for." He reminded. "With our current state, we won't be able to rescue the passenger ship. And we're here to protect Weiss until she meets with her friends again."

Weiss closes her eyes for a moment, looking out from the windshield as the ship turns right. She sighed and walked to the back section of the ship. Weiss sat on one of the crates there and grabbed the case she brought along and set it next to her. She heard footsteps and turned as Licht and Callum came by.

"We could have helped..." Licht got out, jumping onto a crate.

"Licht, you're smarter than this. We cannot win every battle we face." Callum advised. "Muirgel would say the same."
