*No POV*
Ozpin stood by the window of his office with a mug in his hand. He watched several airships from afar which would soon arrive on Beacon grounds to let out the newcomers of the academy. As he took a long sip of his drink, the elevator doors opened and walking in was Glynda.
"Professor Ozpin, I've done some inspections with the new students and I have found that we have an odd number of students." She stated, adjusting her glasses as she checked her Scroll. "With these statistics, only one student will be left without a team."
"Hm... That does sound rather dreadful." He said, turning around. "It appears that I have to make some last-minute changes before we have them start their initiation."
"What do you have in mind?"
"I might have to ask Anna for some help in this one." Ozpin walked around his desk and to the elevator with Glynda following. "With the Relics prepared for this year, I hope Anna may have something to accommodate this miscalculation."
______*Robin's POV*
I walked down the hallways of Beacon and made my way to the main hall where the new students are going to be. Four years have passed since I've been here and another four more were to come my way. I didn't mind as I knew almost everyone here now and am rather excited that I'll be attending class with other students now.
"Hey, Robin!" A voice called out.
I turned to look and saw a team walking to me. Those four were Team CFVY, pronounced as coffee. The leader, Coco Adel, was a very popular student since her first year and has gained quite the status here in Beacon. Next to her was Velvet Scarletina, a rabbit Faunus who I have become close friends with. She was very nice and caring, despite the number of students verbally and sometimes physically assaulting her due to being a Faunus. Still, that never held her down and kept on going.
Behind her was Yatsuhashi Daichi. He was alarmingly big when I first met him. But, even with his gigantic size, he was a gentle giant who takes care of his team and even protects Velvet from any harassment. And lastly, Fox Alistair. He was very quiet and very hard to keep a conversation with. Not much to note about him, except that he was a skilled fighter and can be very dangerous if you treat his team the wrong way.
I smiled and met up with them.
"Hey, guys." I greeted. "What are you doing here?"
"Just passing by to check up on our little bird." Coco teased, tilting her sunglasses down.
"We're glad that you're able to join Beacon now." Velvet added. "I can say that your first year here will be a walk in the park."
"Hm." Fox nodded.
"Even so, try to be safe. You may have spent your time here longer than us, but that doesn't mean you are capable of handling certain situations by yourself." Yatsuhashi advised.
"Now go on!" Coco turned me around. "And be sure to have a great time with your team once you formed one."
"I will. And I'll do my best to keep myself out of harm's way." I said. Before I took a step, I felt a light slap on my bottom. "Eep!"
"Haha. A little something for good luck." Coco chuckled.
I huffed a bit as my cheeks were tinted pink. Still, it was nice to have some motivation from them before my initiation. Just... not the one from Coco...
______I decided to wait outside by the port since I'm sure some of the students may question why I was there so early. It wasn't long when the airships have arrived. They hovered near the docks and the side hatch opened up, letting the students out.
