(Yesterday)

"I don't know what you mean, Robin." Ozpin said.

It was after the entrance ceremony and I was in the middle of confronting the headmaster of the academy about the initiation. I didn't expect to get what I came here for as Ozpin can be quite reclusive in his plans.

"The Relic. Why did that pillar have the same mark on my hand." I showed him my left hand with the tear mark. "And which is the Relic? The small shield or the gemstone?"

"The shield is a small replica of the one used in a war long ago. I believe you've read about the story of the Hero King who once ruled Vale." He informed. "And the gemstone too is a replica. As the story is told, five gems are needed to unlock the full potential of the shield wielded by the Hero King along with a sword bound to its strength."

"I've heard of it... But, why did you have both of them as the Relic?"

"Because, after the war, each of the five gemstones was scattered throughout Remnant. The one you recieved happens to be the same colour as the one lost in Vale."

"Well, I can see why you chose these now." I said, taking them out. "Might as well hand them over now that the initiation is done."

"Keep them." He said as I looked at him in confusion. "I don't really have much need for them as it was meant to help with the odd student count. Think of them as proof of your acceptance as a student here, Robin."

"Haah... You and your ways of handling things, Mr Ozpin." I sighed.

"Now then. Run along now. Your teammates might wonder where you've gone off to."

I pocketed the shield and the gemstone into my coat and turned, taking a few steps before I looked back.

"Mr Ozpin?" I got out.

"Yes?"

"I had a great time with those four earlier. Hopefully, I can enjoy their company once we start class." I smiled.

"I'm sure you'll do just fine." He chuckled.

Oh right, he didn't answer me about the mark. When I turned around, he was already gone. I sighed before I walked off, looking down at my hand. Also, about the five-member team thing. I recall Qrow was in one during his time here in Beacon. Guess I have to find another time to ask Ozpin about it.

(Morning)

"Robin. Robin. Wake up."

I grudgingly opened my eyes, awakened by whoever was shaking me from my slumber. When my vision focused, I could see Blake standing by the side of my bed. She was wearing the academy uniform that was distributed to everyone yesterday.

"Blake? What time is it?" I got out, my voice a little raspy.

"It's a little past six." She said.

"Why are you waking me up this early? Class doesn't start until nine." I stated as I got up from my bed. I kind of wanted to sleep a little longer... the bed was just comfy and warm and I stayed up a bit late on 'FCC' Seal grinding to summon champions on the next summon update.

"Well, I don't think you want to be awoken by Ruby along with Weiss." Blake turned to our leader as she stood at the foot of Weiss's bed with a whistle in hand, waiting for the heiress to wake up.

"I wanted to do it to everyone, but Blake already woke up." Ruby said.

The door to the bathroom opened as Yang walked out with a towel wrapped around her, drying her hair with another towel. The blonde turned to us as she smiled.
