A year had past and I've learned a lot from the professors. There were some hurdles that held me back, but I managed to pull through. Also, I noticed that Glynda was acting much more different around me. Her tone was more sincere and somewhat caring for my well-being.
It was Qrow's lesson now and he gave me a difficult task. I have to land at least two hits on him. Conditions are that I can't use the Lightning Dust infused in my sword and he can fight back with his own weapon. The main problem is...
"C'mon, that the best you can do?" Qrow taunted, resting his greatsword, Harbinger on his shoulder.
"Gh..." I got up from the ground with the help of my sword, Levin. I stood my ground and readied myself. "Not even close..."
"You can call it quits here if you want." He advised. "No shame in givin' up or anythin'."
I glared at him. His blunt and nonchalant attitude was starting to irritate me. I can see why Glynda finds him an annoyance. Even so, he's still a skilled fighter with very cunning tactics. I just need to-

Wait for the right timing. He took his Harbinger off his shoulder and gestured me to attack."Are you gonna do anythin', kid?" He taunted again.
I quickly ran towards him and falsely swing Levin, making him blocking the missed swing before I jumped aside and swung once more. He suddenly stabbed his Harbinger into the ground before it started making clicking noises and the blade bent and lifted up Qrow, making me miss. The handle of Harbinger extended and Qrow spun around it before kicking me away.
"Gah!" I exclaimed. Flying back before landing onto the ground-
/////"Huh?" I gasped softly. I was back to where I was before Qrow kicked me. Looking back at him, he still has Harbinger on his shoulder. I was confused at what just happened. Qrow then took off Harbinger from his shoulder just like before and did the same gesture.
"Are you gonna do anythin', kid?" He taunted again.
I shook the thought and went with what I thought of. I dashed towards him and faked my swing again. He proceeded to block it only to miss the block. This is the moment where I strike and he dodged my attack. Instead of jumping away, I decided to swing head-on. Qrow stumbled a bit when I hit his abdomen with Levin, knocking him back.
Qrow jumped back with an impressed look.
"See. There ya go. You managed to hit me." He said.
That was odd. Did I change the outcome of that moment? I tried to think about what happened just to understand-

"Don't get distracted!" I looked up and saw Qrow right in front of me and on instinct, I guarded against a hit from his Harbinger. In haste, I jumped back and lost my footing. Qrow took the opportunity and suddenly changed his Harbinger from a greatsword to a scythe, spinning it around him with such speed until the hilt tripped me and made me fall.I tried to get up when Qrow held the top of his scythe near my face with a smug grin plastered on his face.
"Sorry, kid. But next time, try not to have your head in the clouds." He joked before his Harbinger turned back into a greatsword and held his hand out-
/////"Wha..." There it was again. Wait... if that happened like before, then-
"Don't get distracted!" Hearing those words again, I ducked under his swing. His expression appeared to be a little surprised. Taking the close range as an advantage, I swung Levin and struck Qrow again.
